I'm disappointed in this CD. I had bought "Sarah for Lovers," and was enthralled so much, I hoped Brazilian Romance would be equally wonderful. It's not. This was probably made during Ms. Vaughn's waning years. No disrespect to Ms. Vaughn. "Sarah for Lovers" is what you want. Forget Brazilian Romance, take Sarah for Lovers. You won't be disappointed. Its silky smooth and if you loved the sixties era during Frank and Ella and the rest of the gang, you'll love this. Its definitely retro romance to the highest!Free Music Review: Brazilian Romance

There are so many albums out there by the incredible Miss Sarah Vaughan, however, this is one that has always stood out for me. The rhythms, intrumentation and her lovely voice make this CD a delight. All of the songs take you to a far away beautiful place. Songs of special mention are: "Make This City Ours Tonight", "So Many Stars", "Photograph", "Nothing Will be As it Was", "Wanting More", "Your Smile". Thwe music styles range from haunting to reflective. It is a must for any Sarah fan. Brazilian music is a combination of many things, but the best combination in my opinion is Sarah's style and her interpretation of a type of music that will stand the test of time.Free Music Review: One of my favorites

Sarah Vaughan, wonderful to hear but to see her sing was the icing on the cake. The only live performer who could give me chills. I saw Ms. Vaughan right after the release of this album and she sang "So Many Stars" live. WOW If you like jazz or like Sarah this is the album for you. If you like them both, you better get this one. Glad it is available on CD. Free Music Review: I love this album

I recall reading a review of this recording quite some time ago wherein the reviewer had something bad to say about it. I don't recall who that reviewer was (and wouldn't bother to mention them by name, even if I did), but I can find no fault with this lovely record. If you like Sarah Vaughan, Brazilian music or both I think it is more than likely that you will really enjoy this one. If it's not your cup of tea, fine. If that's the case then I must echo the sentiments of Phil Collins and declare that you obviously have far too much taste and should, therefore, be bound with piano wire and forced to listen Demis Roussos records.
