Free Music Notes for Crazy Ex-GirlfriendFree Music Review: Great CD by a great girl Hit: 5 Stars
First of all, you need to know that I'm a "long time" Miranda Lambert fan (yeah, one of those cowboy-hat wearing guys who sing along every song at her concert)...
I (still) live in Germany but went to see her live in concert in Kings County (California) last summer and it was totally awesome, so is her new Album.
I'd buy it just for the little bocklet that it comes with (which is actually not a bocklet but more of a fold-out poster) and for the "Famous in a small town", "Desparation" and "Guilty in here" songs.
For every country loving fan of good music: Buy it!
Free Music Review: 5 stars, hands down! Hit: 5 Stars
Miranda Lambert has come up with another winner. This album shows off the amazing talent she posseses at such a young age. If you liked her first album and think that was everything she had, think again...there's definitely no sophomore jinx here. In a way, some of her songs remind me of the tracks in Alanis' JAgged Little Pill...her frustrations in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend resonates through her voice as easy as the emotions flow through ballads such as Love Letters. My personal favorite is Dry Town, which happens to be the most country of all the songs here. Get it, you'll love it!
Free Music Review: A Different Country Hit: 5 Stars
I generally don't like country music:either too much flag waving or too much flag trashing, weepy ballads, mournful lyrics. But every once in a while there is a new take, something different , a fresh look. So it is with this album which cuts to the quick with the opening song about a battered woman taking the law into her own hands. Or the title track, Crazy Ex-Girfriend, where a dumped woman goes a stalking. Her songs are direct, without artifice or trying to sound a certain way. She has her own voice and it is a welcome one.
Free Music Review: Catchy country Hit: 5 Stars
Miranda Lambert is one of my favorite country artists - I just love her vocals and melodies in her songs. I was drawn to this album form the first single "Famous In A Small Town" which had a really catchy chorus in my opinion, my lover bought this CD for me and I'm glad she did. I enjoyed this album very well. I liked it better than Kerosene as well, but that's just me. There's a good mix of anger and soft emotions too! Haha, this album is a good listen.
Free Music Review: Really Really Really Good! Hit: 5 Stars
This may be one of the best country CDs I have ever heard. I say that because it combines old school instrumentation with great vocals, then mixes it up with rock guitar riffs and irresistible beats. Unlike most CDs you buy, this one doesn't have one "throw-away" track on it. Each and every song stands on its own. From the toe-tapping "Dry Town" to the yearning ballad "Desperate" this is a winner from top to bottom. Way to go Miranda!
