Free Music Notes for Mitch All Together (W/Dvd)Free Music Review: the great mitch hedberg.. another (and sad to say last) amazing record. Hit: 5 Stars
amazing. creative. unmatched. original. mitch's last cd (before his recent demise) "Mitch All Together" is an all around masterpiece; the perfect comedy cd. His excellent one-liners, screwed-and-chopped storytelling, and his witty attepmts to save his own ass from a bad joke or two, reflects in the recorded audience. You will be amazed at your own retrospective look at mitch hedberg's comic genius, ranging from uncomfortable moments turned into a perfect arena for mitch's comic-timing, to outrageously funny stabs at himself and his surroundings. The subtlties and randomness of his sense of humor is universal in changing your perception on joketelling and the humor surrounding the industry. Ironically, mitch's death plays on many sayings; the good die young, saved the best for last ("Mitch All Together"), yet mitch was the exact opposite. He could not be summed up with stereotypes, or of societies expectations, and thought like no other comedian alive. This cd is not only his last, but a tribute to his style of creative thinking. Not supporting this cd would be a travisty, in that you could not know mitch's perspective on tight-rope walkers, or the one about the banana.. buy this cd. buy this cd.
Free Music Review: Im a zombie for Mitch Hit: 5 Stars
As you can see from above, I bought this CD only four days ago. Of these days, Ive listened to the CD once to twice a day and watched the DVD an average of .5 times a day. I try to get everybody I know to watch and listen to it with me, but I feel stupid when I laugh before he says the punchlines. Finally, I don't have to rewind the tape anymore I made of Mitch's Comedy Central special. I just press the down button twice and then play. I like the unedited version better because I don't laugh before he says all of the punchlines. Some of it was new to me, but not anymore. I like Mitch because he's a little off key. His jokes quikly get to the point. At first exposure to Mitch, I didn't think I was getting his jokes. Little did I know, somethings can be funny before you have to think about it for a while. I like the bit about acid too. I wanted to stalk Mitch after I saw him in Tampa with Dave Attell and Lewis Black but my friend who came with me was too stoned. Oh well, lucky for Mitch. Either way I hope he comes back soon, I would have him sign my CD case and frame it. Im also going to get Mitch's first CD after hearing this one. Maybe he'll sign that one too.
Free Music Review: A fantastic comedy release Hit: 5 Stars
Mitch Hedberg incites laughter with Redd Foxx's rhythm and Steve Wright's penchant for rapid fire one liners, no use for segues. He adds a shy smile all his own and a sweet fragile nature that is pure charm. "mitch all together" features a CD with a straight 45 minutes of consistently funny stand up. The CD alone is well worth the price of admission, but for hard-core stand up comedy fans the DVD will be the real treat. The first half features Hedberg slaying the audience like a seasoned pro. The second half is the same concert shown without the edits. We get to watch as our vulnerable hero struggle upstream with a crowd that just doesn't get it. We see the self deprecating (and audience deprecating) comments that didn't make it onto Comedy Central as well as the bits that didn't get enough of a laugh to make the final cut, including some of the best jokes in this package. Best of all we get watch Hedberg stare at the ground, grinning sheepishly when he hits his mark. I'll paraphrase my favorite line, that is to say I'll quote Mitch but I'm too lazy to make sure I get it right. "I used to do drugs. I still do them, but I used to also."
Free Music Review: A must own comedy album Hit: 5 Stars
I didn't get a chance to listen to either of Hedberg's albums until after I heard of his death. I heard everyone talking about how he'll be missed and how great his material was so I decided to check it out. I listened to a few clips and soon after bought the albums.
Both of Hedberg's albums use the same formula. He'll fire off short jokes about random observations that are so very witty and intelligent that you'll not only be laughing but also thinking about how right he is. There is a lot of absurdist humor here with Hedberg taking regular life things like Reese's peanut butter cups and making a joke about how every cup should be given up if you ever run into Reese.
His delivery is excellent as well. He has a great sense of timing and delivers jokes rapid fire with almost none of them being duds. There's a lot of great stuff here, hundreds of hilarious jokes that are just as funny the third time as they are the first time around.
I suggest this to anyone even if you find most comics stupid, you'll probably enjoy the stuff here, I know I did. It's sad that we'll never have anything else from this brilliant comic.
Free Music Review: Sharper and quicker, no room to stop laughing and breathe! Hit: 5 Stars
Here's your chance to get to know one of the most misunderstood comdians writing today. There is more than I ever expected here! I would have been glad to purchas three separate products (2 DVD's plus the CD) just to get what is all here for the price of one CD. His comedy is sharper and quicker than ever, much like his live performances, leaving no room to stop laughing and breathe even long enough to push the pause button on your discman. The quality recording is among the best live spoken word I've ever heard, and the hilarious new material complements his first release that is also now available on the Comedy Central label, "Strategic Grill Locations." I bought seven of these CD/DVD's for Christmas gifts. The DVD is also not just shameless promotion. It contains two of Mitch's finest Comedy Central performances, plus an uncut version of his special, where he just does not stop. Recorded in front of an audience that seems a little unaccustomed to Mitch's style, he talks them through the process until they, like me on the first listen of this recording, were in stitches-a great look for any fan of comedy!
