Free Music Review: HEAD-A Minor Masterpiece
Hit: 5 Stars

The Monkees successfully weigh in (somewhat belatedly) with their own psychedelic masterpiece, the soundtrack to the equally-trippy film "Head". This is the last great Monkees album and the last to feature Peter Tork, who's contribution "Do I Have To Do This All Over Again" is one of the hardest rocking songs in the group's catalog. "Circle Sky" is a top notch Mike Nesmith rocker and "Can You Dig It" is a beautifully eastern-flavored piece of 60's pop. "Daddy's Song" is a far superior companion to Nillson's "Cuddly Toy". The sound bites from the film can be somewhat puzzling if you haven't seen the film but overall, a great collection of songs.

Free Music Review: A Very Neat Soundtrack!
Hit: 5 Stars

After I received the cd from Amazon.com in the mail I put it in my Cd Player and let it play. I really enjoyed listening to the CD very much. The one song that I can't get out of mind which has a cool beat to it is "Can You Dig It" [The Micky Dolenz Version]. Considering that the movie was a bomb when it first was shown in Theatres, the music from the movie was well done in my opinion. If you were/are a fan of the Monkees music and would like to get this CD because of the music and bonus tracks...this would be the one for you. Rhino did a fabulous job remastering it! I reccomend this one to all!

Free Music Review: Quite a trip indeed
Hit: 5 Stars

This is an incredible album. By far one of the weirdest and most mesmirizing albums I have ever listened to. After one listening, I put it right back on, the same way I did the first time I heard Sgt. Pepper. I absolutely have to see the movie now. "Porpoise Song" is one of the best produced tracks ever, "Can You Dig It?" is amazing, and "Circle Sky" is sheer rock power. The live version is even better, something that I don't often find to be true. The rest of the songs on the album are equally captivating. A great album.

Free Music Review: Check Your Head.
Hit: 5 Stars

Criminally overlooked when released, this disc contains the best Monkees material ever.A perfect compliment to the movie, this showed the quartet musically battling their teenybopper image. All four members excell;particulary Peter Tork, who gives us two great numbers "Long Title" and "Can You Dig It?".For all those doubters who said the Monkees couldn't play their own instruments, check out the live rendition of "Circle Sky"!This is a must have for Monkees fans and the curious.

Free Music Review: ".....A Cult Classic.....turned CD !!!! "
Hit: 5 Stars

" A groovy, phycadelic,cd with so much inthusiasum and heart. The main focus song is The Porpose Song. A sly sort of excape from the world of The teenybopper. Other great songs are Daddy's Song, Can you dig it?, and Circle Sky. To own this CD and truly understand it you almost have to see the movie. There are many clips from the movie and titled as songs. but over all It is a must have For any Monkeemaniac or nonmonkeemaniac.
