Free Music Review: My 1st Monkee LP!
Hit: 5 Stars

I don't have this Rhino Complilation. Rather, I'm reviewing my ALBUM (complete with pops & clicks which I LOVE!) I played this on my totable Brown Westinghouse turntable. Mike starts with You Told Me. Then Mickey sings Spend My Life With You. Davy: Forget That Girl. a quickie called Band 6!Mike's turn: You Just May Be The 1. A worn out tune with Shades of Grey. Davy again with a vaudeville type a diddy called Can't Gets Her Off Of My Mind. Side 2 jams with Mickey's For Pete's Sake. Mick again with the spooky Mr. Webster. Mike YEEHAS with Sunny Girlfriend. A silly piece called Zilch! Then Mick really rocks with No Time! Davy sings about Early Morning Blues & Greens(I made up my own words when I was stuck on a lousy vaca). Then Mickey concludes with Randy Scouse Git. My youngest cousin & I saw when the Monkess Reunited(sans Nesmith) in '86. She was yelling for Davy & I'm partial to Dolenz. Lots of recent & classic memories! Actually: this is the 1st full fledged Monkee project where they ALL played their own insruments (altho Peter/Mike always played Guitar.) BRAVO!

Free Music Review: The Garage sound!
Hit: 5 Stars

The sound of the discs are perfect! Just as it was! Most re-issues are remastered in a way that it doesn't sound as you remember the album sounding. But here in stereo, mono, and even the outtakes sound a little clearer, but just as you remember it sounding!
The best "garage band" sounding album ever made! And that could be why there were no singles or hits from the album. Probably because the powers that be didn't think they sounded as slick as the other singles from the first two albums, but that doesn't matter one bit! Die hard of the music and the TV show always think of this album as their best!

Free Music Review: excellent
Hit: 5 Stars

headquarters is the best of all the monkees albums, and the only album, until their new 1997 relase of justus, where the album was created entirely by them. they did pretty much all of the vocals and instrumentals on this album, so it is genuienly theirs. As an owner of the headquarters "sessions", i was a bit disappointed that a lot of the bonus materials were from the sessions album. However, this album is overall entirely worth it, and any monkees lover or collector should have it!

Free Music Review: Spock becomes an astronaut!
Hit: 5 Stars

This is the album where The Monkees turned into a real band. Terrific album! This reissue is superb. Great sound, terrific bonus tracks. Lots of new stereo remixes of unreleased tracks and tracks from the time period such as the first true stereo mix of "A Little Bit Me, a Little Bit You" with handclaps.
I can't say enough about how great this Rhino series of Monkees reissues is - big thanks to Andrew Sandoval for his (and Bill Inglots) great work!
A must-have purchase!!!

Free Music Review: The Best
Hit: 5 Stars

First let me tell you. Rhino has the best plans when they remastered this CD. You get the original stereo and mono sound. Plus some bonus material. I don't know why Capital records can do the same with the beatles CD and add bonus materials. All in all you get more for your money. Monkees fan or not. You can't pass this up. This is pure monkees,Micky on Drums, mike on guitar, peter on bass and davy on tambourine. And a little help from their friends. Enjoy
