Free Music Review: A clasic of 60`s Pop

As an 11 year old kid I originally got my vynil LP for Christmas 40 years ago, so when this CD arrived it was like welcoming back an old friend. Time has made irrelevant the debate on whether they played on their recordings. Just enjoy the melodic quality of these songs as they effortlessly flow from beginning to end (even the goofy `Peter Percival...` is locked in my memory as the perfect introduction piece for`Pleasant Valley Sunday`).
It now seems that bumping into Monkee songs is one of the true guilty pleasures for my generation, and I greatly recommend readers of any generation to give it a try.

This is the finest collection of songs that the group put out. Terrific album - one of the best albums of the 1960's (take that Rolling Stone!). This reissue is the best-sounding version ever. Great mono and stereo mixes and fun alternate mixes.
Another terrific job by Rhino and specifically Andrew Sandoval and Bill Inglot.
If you want to hear some terrific music (holds up better than most) from the 60's you should do yourself a favor and pick up this reissue!

This was the absolute best Monkee album ever released. After they had their fallout with Don Kirshner and took total control of their music they released Headquarters to prove they could play and sing on their own. This album was right after Headquarters and took the level of independence a notch higher and the music was exceptional.Free Music Review: excellent

As a #1 monkees fan, i really can't give them a bad review for anything. However, i was not too thrilled with the bonus material on this album. It was really nothing interesting for the most part, and a lot of the bonus songs i could barely distinguish from the origionals. However, any monkees fan/collector would not be disappointed.Free Music Review: Brilliant

Hi i bought the original Arista Cd release then the last Rhino reissue now this one which means I've purchased this three times on cd(lets exclude LP,8-track & cassette purchases)but this new reissue sounds better than the last two, gee i wonder what the next reissue will sound like i will probably buy it.
