I saw the show and loved it. I thought the songs were witty and the production numbers were riotously funny. I couldn't wait until the OC was available.
Funny, how memory plays tricks on us. When I got the CD I was amazed to realize that the music wasn't as good as a commercial jingle and the lyrics weren't witty at all. I tried listening to it again and couldn't get through it.
This is not The Producers. Compared to Eric Idle, Mel Brooks is Rodgers, Hammerstein and Sondheim rolled into one.
