Free Music Review: Dirty is an Understatement!

I've been watching this film for 20 years, and one thing is for sure- it has the right title. There is nothing more tense and disturbing than the way everyone in the film tap-dances (sadly, not literally) around the issue of statutory rape. Patrick Swayze moves in or baby like a jungle cat in his tight dance belt, and she is hopeless to withstand his advances. Her father, Jerry Orbach (you know him as Lenny Briscoe from the Law and Order) can do nothing- he barely tries! For an entire summer, Patrick mounts baby through dance and underage sex, and no one does anything! To this day, I am still shocked that this film was ignored by the Academy. Still, it is important to remember that the real star of this tragic morality tale is the music. This isn't the soundtrack that most of you have in your collections, featuring the much lauded, but overrated Patrick Swayze stinkfest "She's like the wind". This version of the soundtrack features the ever sought after "I've had the time of my life" Instrumental by the John Morris Orchestra. Use it to reenact your own favorite scenes from the movie and make Jerry Orbach cry!
