Free Music Notes for My Early Burglary YearsFree Music Review: Unfortunately I love every second. Hit: 5 Stars
Morrissey (I loathe that silly Moz business) has not only put together a wonderful collection of tricky to find tracks, he has also, as my girlfriend pointed out, devised the best title thus far; the y's and l's nearly causing the tounge to fall out of the head. And the photo...the harsh truth gets better all the time. Plenty of super tracks including "Swallow" which I consider to be one of his best in the past few years: a trademark tune. There's the video too. If you have a CD-Rom don't forget to play "Sunny"! Morrissey fans of the world unite!!!
Free Music Review: Goes great with the Bona Drag compilation Hit: 5 Stars
It's a little redundant with all of the Morrissey compilations out there, but My Early Burglary Years has a really great set of songs. Appart from the two Southpaw Grammar tracks, none of these are on any of his studio albums. "Reader Meet Author" and "Boy Racer" are two of the strongest tracks from Southpaw, so the repeat of those being on here doesn't bother me. Besides My Early Burglary Years and Bona Drag, I'd just skip all the other compilations. His studio albums and Live At Earl's Court are all worth picking up!
Free Music Review: Thanks, Moz! Hit: 5 Stars
What a follow-up to "Maladjusted". And the funny thing is, this stuff has been around for a while. Morrissey has a (bad) habit of re-releasing previous material, but in this case, it's primarily b-sides, which is good for those fans that fall just short of fanatic. For those who don't buy CD singles to have the bonus cuts, this is a treat. Plus, it contains Boy Racer, so "Southpaw Grammar" can now go in the trash, ha ha. Just as good as a greatest hits.
Free Music Review: morrissey did it again! Hit: 5 Stars
As a tired consumer of buying re-packaged songs, this cd is not bad at all. "Pashernate Love" is perhaps the best song. Hard to find B sides will flourish your stereo at home or work or play. Added bonus if you have a computer and a true Morrissey fan, you even get a freebee video for the song "Sunny". Bottom line, it is a good compilation of Moz' B side songs in one family fun packed cd. Hurray for Moz. Let it rip!
Free Music Review: a safe buy Hit: 5 Stars
an extremely strong collection of songs and very worthwhile buy. I've heard the complaints - so much Smiths and Morrissey in re-circulation.With this one you get solid, interesting songs that tell a very different tale than the one your local radio station is piping out. Elegant melodies and richly biting lyrics permeate this disc and remind those of us who have followed Morrissey for so many years why we stick around.
