Free Music Notes for New Tattoo

Free Music Review: BACK TO BASICS
Hit: 5 Stars

Thank God. Motley Crue has returned to their traditional roots with New Tattoo. This album is somewhat a cross between Too Fast for Love and Dr. Feelgood... in no way is it similar to Shout at the Devil or Theatre of Pain; it does, however, have some similarity to Girls, Girls, Girls. This is one of the few albums that I have been able to listen to the first time and enjoy ALL of the tracks... this is trashy rock and roll at it's finest. Vince Neil's vocals are his best since 1989's Dr. Feelgood; Randy Castillo has more than accomplished the feat of taking the place of Tommy Lee... could Tommy have been the problem all along? Mick Mars demonstrates that he is among the elite in the crowd of rock guitarists, his style of hyper-speed licks and bluesy finger-work make him a treasure in what has become an otherwise pathetic music era, this guy is great. Nikki Sixx, always the songwriting genius, demonstrates once again that he has the capability of writing lyrics and music that are beyond comparision with the rest of rock's current stars. In the age of faceless popular bands, Motley Crue continues to prove themselves as legends.

Free Music Review: motley crue THE BOYS ARE BACK
Hit: 5 Stars

WELCOME BACK BOYS ITS ABOUT TIME YOU GOT YOUR ARSES OUT OF GEAR AND PLAYED THE KIND OF MUSIC THAT LONG TIME FANS HAVE WAITED SOOO LONG FOR. NOT SINCE GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS HAVE THEY RESEMBLED ANYTHING CLOSE TO THIS. NOT THAT THOSE ALBUMS WERE BAD I JUST DONT THINK THATS WHAT THEY REALLY WANTED TO PLAY IT WAS MORE A CASE OF PLEASE THE RECORD COMPANY.THIS ALBUM IS VINTAGE MOTLEY CRUE THERE IS NOT ONE BAD SONG AND IT HAS BEEN ALONG TIME SINCE I HAVE PLAYED ANY CD AND LIKED ALL THE SONGS THE FIRST TIME ROUND ( THE LAST GREAT WHITE ALBUM CAME CLOSE ). RANDY HAS DEFINATLEY ADDED TO THE SOUND AND HE IS AS TIGHT AS A POLITICIANS WALLET AND AS HEAVY AS A TYSON PUNCH . I DONT KNOW WHATS CAUSED THE SUDDEN ABILITY OF MICK AND NICK TO SOUND THE BEST THEY HAVE EVER SOUNDED. MAYBE THEY REALISED THEY SHOULD SPEND MORE TIME ON THEIR MUSICAL ABILITY AND NOT THEIR LEISURE TIME HABITS. VINCE HAS JUST GOT BETTER WITH AGE AND HIS SOUND WOULD HAVE TO BE COMPARED WITH THE EXCELLENT EXPOSED ALBUM.ANYWAY DO YOUR SELF A FAVOUR AND GET YOURSELF "TATTOOOOOED"

Free Music Review: Motley Crue Gives Rock and Roll Life Again!
Hit: 5 Stars

This is the best rock and roll CD in the last decade. "New Tattoo" successfully blends all of the best of Motley's greatest efforts. A bit of "Dr. Feelgood"'s anthems, a touch of "Shout At The Devil"'s edge, and a hint of "Too Fast for Love"'s punky style, make this a masterpiece. There is not one bad track on this CD. Hilights include the hard driving "Punched In The Teeth By Love", the beautiful "New Tattoo", which is their best ballad since "Home Sweet Home", and the catchy "She Needs Rock and Roll" and "Treat Me Like The Dog I Am". "Fake" is another fantastic song that takes a look at the evils of the music industry. Buy this CD if you like music played with real drums, real guitars, and soulful vocals. Nikki Sixx has written some fantastic songs that prove stories of the demise of Vince Neil's voice were premature and way off base. You are not likely to find a better hard rock CD this year, or any year for that matter.

Free Music Review: Their best since DR. FEELGOOD
Hit: 5 Stars

This is the band's best work since the DR. FEELGOOD album, and the tour is just as great with one of their best stage set-ups ever (backdrop of an alley with tattoo shops and strip joints) - so buy the album and go see the show! As far as the best song on the album, take your pick. Great rock n' roll from start to finish, sounding like a cross between several past Crue albums as well as Vince's first solo effort. The Crue have tried new things in recent years and with this CD, they show the grapefruits to prove sometimes the best step forward is to go back and do what you do best. Also an excellent job on drums by Randy Castillo in place of the bandwagon-jumping Tommy Lee (he'll realize his mistake when he, Kid Rock, Limp Bizkit, Korn, Rage Against the Machine and all those other stooges are being laughed at by other people in the unemployment line, including Vanilla Ice). Unlike most of the crap to come out and be passed off as rock in recent years, this is good, timeless music.

Free Music Review: the CRUE is back with a vengeance
Hit: 5 Stars

The critics said "they're back" when Vince returned, but Generation Swine was a strange mix of tunes...it was okay but not great.

Even with the departure of T-bone (he's going to regret leaving after hearing this cd)with New Tattoo the band is truly back! With great lyrics full of sexual innuendos, (Nikki Sixx) and great in your face riffs (Mick Mars). Vince's vocals are amazing especially on the ballads...Randy sounds great too

Even the two ballads are great tunes...just a couple minutes to calm down before one of the heavier tracks start up again. Stand out trax are "Treat me like the dog I am" "fake" "hell on high heels"...

tell your friends the CRUE is back and kickin'...

if you get a chance go see the boys on tour they have an amazing show & with Samantha Mahoney who is unbelievable on the drums it is a show you'll never forget!
