THIS IS THE BEST. It is an import from England, and it is a combination of the MOULIN ROUGE & MOULIN ROUGE 2 Soundtracks, + Bonus track LADY MARMALADE THUNDERPUSS RADIO MIX. This CD has lots of nice slow ballads (Come What May, One Day I'll..., Your Song) and then some catchy new beats (Lady Marmalade, Hindi Sad Diamonds, Sparkling Diamonds). This Collectors Edition soundtrack includes lots of original film versions (Come What May, Sparkling Diamonds) and 1 Remix of One Day I'll Fly Away which is great and includes the left-out songs from the 1st soundtrack, like The Pitch (Spectacular Spectacular), Like A Virgin, and The Show Must Go On. The only thing against this is the INSTRUMENTALS ,, eggghhh not like someone wants to listen to those!!!!! ...No words in the vernacular can describe this great event, you'll be dumb with wonderment. The price is fixed at [$$$], you must agree that's excellent. And on top of your fee, you'll be involved artistically (dancing on your bed and singing in the car).So exciting, I couldn't help but stop and cheer. So delighting, it will run for fifty years (permanent spot in my CD player).
Elephants, Arabians, Indians and courtesans, Acrobats, and juggling bears, exotic girls, fire eaters! Musclemen, contortionists, intrigue danger and romance. Electric lights, machinery. Oh the electricity.
If you love the film, you'll adore the soundtrack. Get the collecter's edition. You won't regret it.

This is one of the best musicals ever it has all of the elements you need and then some. The movie is wonderful and if you buy the soundtrack you don't even need the movie the music tells the entire story that is how strong the music is once you begin listening to it you just get entwined in the story and you may not even be watching charactors just listening to wonderful singing, along with wonderful lyrics, added to a wonderful harmony. That is the combination that makes a truly great musical that is worth awards such as Best Score. I recommend this to anyone who loves the idea of romance in the late 1800's in France. I'm a 14 years old fan of Moulin Rouge. I really love this movie, it's my favorite one, I've seen it almost 30 times! I'm serious.I love the music on it, it's really awsome, I love how they have mixed old songs with new ones, it sounds really amazing. This is my favorite soundtrack of all. Nicole Kidman (who, by the way is my favorite, favorite actress) sings really really good, I love her voice, it's really natural. And Ewan has a beautiful beautiful voice; together they are just perfect!

I'm not a musical movie fan, but this movie left me breathless. This CD is the best combo ever. The first CD in this collection is songs of a different version than the movie, but better versions I think. The second CD has all the original movie versions and instrumentals. Oh my gosh, the instrumentals on "Your Song" are beautiful. There just isn't anything I can say bad about this CD collection. I think it is just a perfect pick of songs to be on there.
