Free Music Notes for Mozart Edition: Complete Works (170 CD Box Set)Free Music Review: Impressive Hit: 5 Stars170 CDs for $120 is a great deal. I don't claim to be an expert on Classical recordings - only a fan - but these have all sounded beautiful to me so far. I like the period instrumentation although occasionally they sound a bit odd to my modern ear. (I have to admit that sometimes the harpsichord reminds me of Morticia Addams playing in the parlor).
Free Music Review: A Great Gift Hit: 5 StarsMy father-in-law has quite a collection of classical music - on 33's! He loved this gift in cd form, which is better quality and he can take in his car.
I bought a second one for me!
Free Music Review: Days of Delight Hit: 5 StarsWhile the performances may not all be stellar, they are uniformly good to very good, done with much love and understanding, and the idea that one can own all of Mozart for just over $100 is not to be discounted. It is a real treat to be able to go through the entire catalogue and trace the development of his work, not to mention being able to explore the lesser known works which are often surprisingly well done.
Free Music Review: Why the huge price leap? Hit: 3 StarsThis set used to be available from Amazon for less than $100. In Europe,
you could get it for $70. Why the big price increase, Amazon?
What's annoying is that some of the earlier reviews were based upon the fact that this USED TO BE a REALLY GOOD bargain.
Ahh, the "law" of supply and demand.
Free Music Review: Very, very disappointing Hit: 1 StarsBecause of pressure of work, I was unable to settle down and listen to these CD's until recently.
Having played the first 5 of them, it has been distressing to find that they ALL 'stick' at about the three-quarter mark - and no matter what player I use, it is the same.
This is not only disappointing it is very annoying that something I was so looking forward to comes in this condition.
Do I REALLY have to check ALL of them to see if they all have the same problem?
What can I do about this please?
