Free Music Review: Beautiful, Stylish Mozart!

An excellent recording of these wondefully charming works! The performance shows a true understanding of the Mozartian style, and repeated listenings only reveal greater treasures in both the works and the peformances (I've lost track of how many times I have listened to it by now!). I love the real chamber music approach that all the performers take (as opposed to some who treat these works like mini flute concerti!) - one feels like you are listening to a beautiful, intimate conversation among great friends. The whole package is as stylish as the performance: the notes (by Kahn herself) are informative, yet never dry and academic, and I very much like the more personal approach she takes in them. Even down to the cover art (I believe by the same photographer who was used for Richard Goode's equally wonderfully Mozart recordings), the whole cd will be a wonderful addition to the library of anyone who loves great chamber music playing and Mozart!
