This album is not repeatable. You might not want to listen to it as often as some other classics, because it takes some work. But if you put it on every once in a while, when the time is right, I think you'll find it a great example of skillfully stretching between genres while holding on a theme. The skill level is unquestionable, and the legitimacy that the music confers on heavy metal techniques is very rewarding. Like other classics, I think I'll keep getting new things out of it for a long time to come. How can music be so threatening when there is so much self awareness in it? Doesn't this mean there is someone there who is guiding you through the danger, who actually wants you to benefit?Free Music Review: Mikey boy

this album is amazing, the same as every mr. bungle album and just about everything mike patton has released! i only found out about mr. bungle about a year ago, but this album was released when i was about 6 so i didn't really have much chance of hearing it then! all the bungle albums are totally different to each other and although this is a brilliant album i think i prefer 'california'. well i would recommend this to anyone who likes mike patton (but then you will already own this) so anyone who doesn't own this and is thinking of owning it then buy, buy, buy, now!! also like another reviewer said maybe zappa fans should pick this up and anyone who is a little insane in the brain!Free Music Review: Amazing stuff

An obvious tell from scanning the reviews of Mr. Bungle recordings is that you never see so so reviews. People really love it or hate it vehemently. This is generally a good sign with music. This type of music is going to offend the sensibilities of a lot of people. However, to those of us that give it a chance, this is a brilliant recording. Listen to the recording a few times and it will resonate into your being, then get Disco Volante, and California to continue the trip. For some people, Mr. Bungle will open their eyes, for others, it will feel like their ear drums just got pierced. I was 7 when i first heard this album. I am related to mike, on a distant relation, but none the less when it came out my whole family couldnt wait to hear it. So we all gathered around the stereo and put it on...before long my aunt had fainted and my Grandpa had thrown up on himself, and I LOVED IT. I grew up on this album, along with mike's other insanly beautiful music and it changes your life. It opens your mind to good music, not what these record company corporate #!@%'s want you to listen to, to make a quick buck...
Long story short, get this album or any other mike patton album, and get it NOW! you will be BLOWN away!

This album is absolutely amazing for anyone who is either looking for something that you'll never hear on the radio or someone who is a fan music that's simply out there. These guys are true musical geniuses, even though they probably claim otherwise. The music can be described as a kind of psycho-circus metal with a some porno-style bass and vocals ( thanks to the genius of Mr. Mike Patton ) that will amaze you in their power and range. The drumming accentuates the unique time signtaures these guys come up with and the keyboards do just the same. These guys know how to make powerful music that's also pretty funny. No doubt about it.
