Free Music Notes for Tomorrow Hit TodayFree Music Review: Mudhoney's masterpiece Hit: 5 Stars
hey all,This album was well worth the wait. I've heard Mudhoney grow, and perfect their mix of Garage Rock, Punk, & Blues. On "Tomorrow Hit Today", its clear Mudhoney are at their best. Opening with "A Thousand Forms Of Mind", Singer/Guitarist Mark Arm reminded me of why his voice always impacted me. "Tomorrow Hit Today" is filled with bile and piss, but the music gradually takes the listener into the dark, fuzzy underworld that Mudhoney inhabits. Mark Arm and Steve Turner's guitars are still drenched in fuzz and refuse to be tamed, but their played with ease and the boys seem to have a firmer grip on their ideas. "I Move With The Wind" makes me feel like I'm floating into the unknown, that's how profound "Tomorrow Hit Today" is. The instrumental, "I Will Fight No More Forever" ends on a sour note of futility, the title is more than appropriate because of the tempo and emotion, and perhaps because Mudhoney cannot top this album. The lyrical content is bitter, sarcastic, curious, and everything else that makes Mark Arm a talented singer with a knack for embracing his dark side. " Even those that once called me friend, are liars, cheaters, and fakers!" This epic album closes with "Beneath The Valley of The Underdog" which can easily be looked upon as Mark's fiercest diatribe, once more bearing his dark side for all Mudhoney fans to bask in.
Free Music Review: Grunge Ain't Dead Hit: 5 Stars
It was in September that I saw Mudhoney in concert, and got to hang out with Mark Arm, and the rest of the band after the concert. This was before I had gotten the album, but I knew most of the songs by heart from previous Seattle concerts. We chatted back and forth, briefly. A truly accomplished musicain of the Seattle Music Scene, as well, definetly, as the rest of the band. This album, in their decade long career, is by far the one that costed the most money. This album costed more money to make than all the others combined. It shows. Nothing of Mudhoney's has ever been more potent than these songs. It was also said this has been, clearly, the dumbest move in their whole careers, creating this good of an album, their best, this far into their musical lives. To tell you the truth, I don't West Seattle has been this rocking out since Pearl Jam got home.
Free Music Review: Tomorrow Hit Today.. Damned Right Hit: 5 Stars
Although it's been 2 and a half years since this album was released, it is still in heavy rotation in my cd player. Mudhoney would have to be one of the most rocking bands of all time and THT is no exception. From start to finish, this album oozes the extreme form of rock n roll that is mudhoney. Mark's screaming vocals that never fail to get the attention of all who hear. Steve's bluesy guitar who's fuzz is enough to make a sheep jealous. Matt's steady sludgy bass playing and lastly, Dan's Unconventional thunderously amaziningly original drumming which never ceases to amaze me. Mudhoney, like a fine wine, get better and better with age. Mudhoney will be the Iggy Pop of their generation. Rocking well into their 50's (maybe even longer! we can all hope)Jeremy.

Free Music Review: greatest grunge band is still going!!! Hit: 5 Stars
it seems mudhoney have grown up. this band used to be content to kick out the 3 chords and rock. one of the pinnacle live bands of the nineties, THEY put on a rock show. this album seems mature due to the fact that they have experimented with different distortion sounds. steve turner cranks out some wicked good riffs and with a little diversity (the country meets rock of "real low vibe" is aamzing) this album is like punk meets grunge meets the blues (maybe grunge and stevie ray vaughn?) tis a shame americans are so closed minded to music. we seem to be content to be force fed our music. this album is great and needs to be heard. forget boy bands and jennifer lopez. this is the real deal.
