Free Music Notes for H.A.A.R.P.: Live from Wembley (Region 2 DVD) AlbumFree Music Review: Note to all DVD editors: LEARN TO FREEKING EDIT! Hit: 1 Stars
Wow, have concert videos sunk to such new lows that every editor takes crack before editing?
This is literally the third concert video this year I've bought, and the third one is the worst for having crappy crack-addled editing. I literally couldn't get even halfway into "Knights of Cydonia" without getting a headache. I don't care how much I love Muse, I HATE crappy editing.
Seriously, You hardly get to see the band for longer than a second because of how choppy the editing is. The only time it calms down is during "Take a Bow", the last song. We get it, the audience is freaking wild, stop showing us 500 shots of the crowd every song (Maiden do this sometimes but only maybe 4 or 5 times per song). Yeah, you like to shake the camera a lot, stop shaking the goddamn camera, it gives me a freaking headache. The credits credit a "Steadicam operator". As the 2 star reviewer says, obviously his shots didn't make it to the final cut or otherwise it would be a lot clearer.
In short, I will not be buying the next Muse live video if it ends up like HAARP. While the CD is great, the DVD was just painful to watch.
