Free Music Review: Total Escape

Okay firstly I have to say this, this CD doesn't do 'The O.C.' justice. Frankly, no CD would do the show justice. The program is just too good, any way back to the review.
I was surprised that there was no Rooney on this CD, I thought 'I'm Shakin' would have made the cut but none the less, this CD rocks! From the quiet yet wonderful Joseph Arthur, to the rockin Dandy Warhols, I couldnt take this CD out of the player for about 6 weeks.
South's, 'Paint The Silence' really sets the mood for the rest of the CD, slow but rockin, a great listen. 8/10
Jem's 'Just a Ride' is another great listen, and another hit from the show.8/10
Joseph Arthur's 'Honey and the Moon' is one of my favourites from the show, great lyrics and an even better sound, this song is bound to (if you're not already) relax you. 10/10
'The Way We Get By', from Spoon is, well its just great thats all i can say. You can almost get up and dance to this.9/10
Jet's 'Move On' is an awesome song to chill and listen to, and really gels well with the other songs on the CD.9/10
'How Good It Can Be' by The 88 is another good song that can almost make you dance, but needs to be listened to sitting down, so you can listen to the lyrics and the sound and take it all in.9/10
Doves' 'Caught By The River' is a great alternative rock song that deserves a lot of listening to.8/10
Turin Brakes' 'Rain City' is, very much like Caught by the River, a song that deserves a lot of listening to. 8/10
'We Used To Be Friends' by The Dandy Warhols is the loudest song on the CD, definitely one to dance to if you're in the right mood. 9.5/10
Finley Guaye's 'Dice' is another song that deserves a lot of listening to, infact they all do. This song is a great chill out song, one to waste away the day's by. 10/10
Alexi Murdoch's is another good chill out song, just sit back, relax and soak up the 'Orange Sky', put it on repeat and you'll never get sick of it. 10/10
And what good would an 'O.C.' CD do had it not the title track 'California' by Phantom Planet, this track is the best way that this CD could have ended, and it ended in style. 15/10
Overall this CD deserves to be number one on the charts for the longest amount of weeks. Even if you didnt watch or didnt like the show, you're bound to love the music, because this is the best TV soundtrack ever.
