Free Music Review: Music and Lyrics is a very fun soundtrack

This is a fun soundtrack. Most of the tracks are performed by Hugh Grant. I didn't know he could sing so well. My favorite track is Don't Write Me Off. This track shows off his talent as a singer and his skills on the piano. Way Back Into Love is another highlight on this soundtrack. Hugh performs this song as a duet two times on this CD with different partners, and they both sound very good to me. Pop Goes My Heart is an upbeat tune that gets me moving. Meaningless Kiss and Dance With Me Tonight are two other tracks that stand out. Hugh's voice has a romantic quality on these songs. Haley Bennett is the other surprise on this soundtrack. The songs Buddha's Delight and Entering Booty Town are very sensual. Music and Lyrics is the best movie soundtrack of 2007 so far.

I loved this movie, and I have watched it over and over again. The CD is also one of my favorites that I listen to constantly. I was very impressed by the duet, "Way Back Into Love," with Hugh Grant and Haley Bennett. All of Haley's songs were great, especially "Entering Bootytown." This little girl is a cutie, and I expect to see her become a big hit when she releases her first CD, soon. I think Hugh's solo, "Don't Write Me Off," is very good. I had no idea he could sing so well, and Drew Barrymore didn't do bad, either, with her demo version of "Way Back Into Love." It was worth the money just to hear the Haley/Hugh duet of "Way Back Into Love." They made a great team, and the song has wonderful lyrics, with a haunting melody. I watched the movie and immediately fell in love with its soundtrack, and couldn't wait to own the soundtrack CD. Unlike some other soundtrack CDs, this one contained all of the "vital" songs in the movie. Even though Hugh Grant is definitely not a great singer, I still love his voice and am so glad that someone else didn't sing his songs on this album. I think what really sells this CD is the songs by Haley Bennett (who played "Cora" in the film). Her artistic style is fantastic, and "Buddah's Delight" sort of reminds me of Britney Spears' third album. Haley's voice overpowered Hugh's on "Way Back to Love" but it was still delightful. Finally, "Pop!Goes my Heart" really took me back to the '80s and quite funny. Get this CD--it will surely entertain you!Free Music Review: Made me feel like I was 9 and had a crush on Wham again!

This album is so great! Pure fun and laughter! Especially the "Pop!" 80's-type songs. Honestly, after listening to it, I dug out all my old Wham and early Madonna and Rick Astley and New Kids on the Block tapes and had a good old-fashioned teen-idol party (definitely worth the cost of the CD right there!). What a good time! And who KNEW that yummy Hugh Grant could actually carry a tune? Not me! What a great surprise, I happily thought, grooving around to Pop Goes My Heart, followed shortly thereafter by Wham's Wake me Up Before You Go-Go. I nearly passed a note to my hubby asking him if he'd go to the sweetheart dance with me (yes/no/maybe, circle one). Yay for 80's songs!
Oh, and the love songs are great, too. It's all great.

I haven't even received this item yet but I am sure that it is fantastic. This was absolutely the best movie I have seen in a long time. It is the best romantic comedy to come out since "Pretty Woman". I never buy soundtracks either but that is just what I did as soon as I got home from the movie. The chemistry between Hugh and Drew is wonderful and the music is great. If they made another CD I would definitely buy it. I am raving about this movie to anyone and everyone that will listen !!! I can't wait for the movie to come out to add it to my favorites and watch it over and over again. I definitely recommend this soundtrack and this movie. This is the best romantic movie to come out in a long time.
