I've had this C.D. for quite a while..but I just now got into reading all of these reviews and things. M.C.R....since they are probably my favorite band of all time, I think I should review every song on both of their C.D.'s. This one first. =) I feel that Bullets is MUCH better than Three Cheers. And there isn't a lot of people who agree with that. 'Bullets'is some of My Chemical Romance's darker, heavier stuff. I think that this C.D. represents the band a lot better than 'Three Cheers'. This was M.C.R.'s first C.D., (I'm sure you know that >_<) And it was before they became mainstream. >___< Now that fame has hit them...their music is changing...this will always be my favorite album.
1. Romance - 9/10. Wow!! Are you listening to this?!?! The guitar is amazing! Although there isn't any words, the melodies speak for themselves.
2. Honey this mirror isn't big enough for the two of us - 10/10. This song is a MASTERPIECE! I didn't really understand this song fully until I saw the video. I LOVE this song. I just do. There isn't any way around it.
3. Vampires will never hurt you - 10/10. What can I say? Gerard Way is a miracle worker. This song is brilliant and beautiful. It makes me think of Gerard with fangs...Grr...o_o. One of my favorites.
4. Drowning Lessons - 9/10. The only reason I gave that a 9/10 is because I've been giving out too many 10/10's and I need to save those...O___o. This is a GREAT song. I love love love love love love love it. I love the line 'I never thought it'd be this way, just me and you we're here alone, and if you stay, all I'm asking for is....a thousand bodies piled up, I never thought would be enough to show you just what I've been thinking.' This is an awesome song.
5. Our Lady of Sorrows - 10/10. Oh man. There are so many good things I could say about this song. o_o It is just like....UGH! It is so great, I'm out of words to describe it! I love the lyrics. Sometimes I wonder if Gerard is like....a superhero. O_o Haha. He is just so great, he can't be human!!
6. Headfirst for Halos - 10/10. Ok..I'm seriously not giving every song 10/10 on purpose...or just because I love M.C.R. I'm grading by what the song deserves. And this song....ohhhh boy. It's like my favorite. The drums in the beginning are so...RAWR! Then it goes in to a fast paced frenzy...you would think it would be about something happy, but no. It's about suicide. You find that out later in the song with '..I think I'll blow my brains against the ceiling.' That shocked me at first. But once you listen to the whole song, and pay attention to all of the lyrics, you can see what they are trying to say. I love lovelvoelvoeleolvoe this song to death.
7. Skylines and Turnstiles - 9/10. Not my favorite song on the C.D. I still think it deserves a top rating though. I love the lyrics. I just don't like the tune of Gerard's voice in that song. O_o It just doesnt sound like it fits some of the time. His voice is still unbelieveably gorgeous, but it's just not the greatest in this song. There are certain parts in this song that I REALLY like though.
8. Early sunsets over Monroeville - 10/10. Don't even get me started on this song, guys. Wow. When I first got the C.D., I skipped over this song. Don't ask me what possessed me to skip it. It is just a really slow and well...slow song. I heard the beginning of it and I was like...nah...maybe later. But it as turned out to be my favorite. Yep. I made up my mind. This song is my favorite. It's AMAZING.
9. This is the best day ever - 9/10. This isn't one of my absolute favorite songs, however, I LOVE the way it starts out for some reason or another....I dunno. Maybe I should've given this a 10/10...I really love it...Nah. I'm lazy..>_<
10. Cubicles - 10/10. I wont even get into why I love this song so much.....It would take me nearly forever. >_< 'But you don't work here anymore...it's just a vacant 3x4...' *sings* O__o excuse me.
11. Demolition Lovers - 10/10. WOWNESS!!! This is one of my favorites from the C.D. It just sounds so sweet and sincere. Gerard sounds so sad. =( But that's what makes this song SO awesome. I seriously love this song....ohhhhh do I love this song.
So...that pretty much sums it up! =) I cherish this C.D. like I cherish my life. It's seriously THAT great. If all my belongings were taken from me...but I got to keep one...I'd definitley take 'Bullets' It's just that great. I love My Chemical Romance. =) Those boys have no clue what they mean to me. =) I looove them. And all of you people just checking out the band because they are becoming mainstream....just don't. They werent meant to be a mainstream band. =( M.T.V...LEAVE OUR BOYS ALONE!! PLEASE!!
