Free Music Review: Dear lord... some people are just ignorant
Hit: 5 Stars

This band is one of the most energetic and hardest to label bands I've ever heard. I listen to lots of stuff from glam rock to tech metal to hardcore to punk and these guys are just impossible to label. They are purely original in every way.

"In all seriousness though, this band and it's members really are twats, just like two other bands Sparta and Thursday. In fact they sound exactly like them"

I am not a big fan of Thursday, but ever since At The Drive-In broke up, I've been a huge fan of Sparta. Sparta sounds NOTHING like this band at all, so this reviewer must be out of his mind. Not to mention, Sparta is one of the greatest bands of all time.

"Track number 3, Vampires Will Never Harm You, may just be the most ridulous track I've heard from a band in the past few years, lines like 'put a stake through me!!' sound like the were written by a comedian making fun of goths on a sketch show. The lines aren't said tongue in cheek or with and detection of sarcasm so you can't help how the hell could anyone seriously write these off as good lyrics."

You obviously have never written lyrics or done anything creative in your life. I bet you flunked 5th grade english too. It's a little thing called symbolism. Maybe if you had some depth in your thoughts, you might be able to realize that the song is about being in love, not friggin' vampires. Some people just have no idea what music is about. *cough*

"Then the band is as misleading as can be, you think you're through with the same old same old hardcore whiny songs when the track 'This is The Best Day Ever' comes on but you're met with another song trying to test a listener's endurance."

That's why the tracks are listed on the cd, my dear chum.

Free Music Review: This is Really 4.9 But Whatever! Rockin CD!!!!!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

Bullets rocks! To tell you the truth, I hated this CD at first. But after some time, I grew to appreciate it as the peice of art it really is. I like Revenge just a little better, but Bullets is still one of my favorite CDs. It's much darker and heavier then its follower, plus they scream ALOT on this, were on Revenge they only scream on one or two songs.
2.Honey...
4.5/5 A really good song. I like the slow part before the chorus "and you can cry all you want to I don't CARE HOW AHHHhhh, so awesome!
3.Vampires Will Never Hurt You
5/5 Just a purely awesome song. Plus it's deffidently the heaviest on the CD.
4.Drowning Lessons
5/5 Just continuing all the great songs.
5.Our Lady of Sorrows
5/5 One of my favorite MCR songs, also, it's the most punk song of their career.
6.Headfirst For Halos
5/5 Almost too good.
7.Skylines and Turnstiles
5/5 I'm tired of people bagging on this song. Here's the bottom line: it's one of MCR's best songs.
8.Early Sunsets Over Monroeville
4/5 Not one of my faves, but it's enjoyable.
9.This Is the Best Day Ever
4.5/5 It's a good song, but I like it better when it transforms on the 1:20 mark, plus they start chanting in the backround, which is cool.
10.Cubicles
4/5 It's pretty alright.
11.Demolition Lovers
5/5 Truly a great song. My favorite part is the guitar solo, being a guitarist and all(Ray Toro is my biggest influence).
Favorites
-Vampires
-Drowning Lessons
-Our Lady of Sorrows
-Headfirst For Halos
-Skylines and Turnstiles

Free Music Review: Best Album
Hit: 5 Stars

This band would have not achieved success if it wasn't for its original promotion crew. I was lucky enough to be part of that team. What do you expect for a first album? This album was raw, edgy, and experimental. It was their first album. MAJORITY of bands don't have mommy and daddy to pay for all the best equipment on the market for them. How many fans out there are willing to give their favorite band money or gear? I doubt many of you have. I have for this band and The Matches. To help get them on their feet when they were on the ground was very challenging. Thanks to people like me, we got this band out there. Once My Chemical Romance had their break through album, I was paid back, but for respect I did accept it.

I've met so many fans over the years who thought Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge was their first album. Well, it was their first mainstream album. That was a good album. The Black Parade blew it away. All good stuff. A lot of times...for me and I know there's a lot of other fans out there that may feel the same...but the first album is simply the best. It's like watching a movie with a sequel or in a trilogy. A lot of times the first movie is the best, despite the others being good.

Right now, I don't like My Chemical Romance's current album. It's not catchy. Perhaps, it will grow on me who knows, but none of their albums will ever compare to the success of their first album. Their first album gained them respect, which is more POWERFUL than their mainstream achievements. I was happy to be part of it. Peace.

Free Music Review: 'I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love'
Hit: 5 Stars

I was first introduced to MCR by a friend who sent me "Headfirst For Halos." All it took was one listen and I HAD to hear more of their stuff. I think "Vampires Will Never Hurt You" is the second song I heard, and from then on, I was enamored with MCR. You can try to classify them in any genre you want, but that's just the beauty of it. You just can't say, "These guys are definitely emo/punk/hardcore/whatever." I believe I read in an interview online that they just considered themselves a kick-ass rock band. And, all the way from Gerard Way's vocals, Ray and Frank's guitars, Mikey's bass, and Matt's drums, that's exactly what they are, with an emphasis on the 'kick-ass.'

The opener, "Romance", is just about the only song on the CD that won't knock you flat on your ass. Even "Early Sunsets Over Monroeville" builds in intensity towards the end and is quite an amazing song. "Demolition Lovers", possibly my favorite track, starts off seemingly slow, but also builds up intensity quick and then seemingly stops, only to start again slowly and continues into an insane breakdown. My Chemical Romance is now my favorite band, and 'I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love' my favorite CD. Though with MCR having a new CD coming out on, I believe June 8th, that may be changing.

All I have to say is: CHECK THESE GUYS OUT, they're awesome, and they deserve the support for all the energy they put into their music and devotion to their fans.

Free Music Review: just short of perfect
Hit: 5 Stars

I've been listening to the songs "Vampires Will Never Hurt You" and "Drowning Lessons" for the past few months while I've been searching the entire state looking for this album. I finally found it today and I've been playing it nonstop. I've heard some negative feedback about this album, but I've also heard some incredible things about it. What My Chemical Romance gives us here is one of the most solid, emotional albums I've heard in quite some time. The "stab me/stab you" vocals complement the music extremely well. The album is not groundbreaking, MCR is not creating a new genre or anything, but they're close to perfecting the one they're in. I wouldn't be surprised if this album (or a follow-up) were to catch on and get huge in a year or so. I'll admit that when I first heard the song "Headfirst For Halos" I hated it, but even the weak spots of the album are incredible when you listen to the album as a whole. Now that's a rare accomplishment, an album without filler. Any track on this album would make a good single (well, on any station that's got a good taste for underground/indie rock at least). And to make them even better, they're from New Jersey!

Standout tracks -- "Drowning Lessons", "Our Lady Of Sorrows", "Demolition Lovers"
