Free Music Review: Thank God They're Not Mainstream!
Hit: 5 Stars

About a year ago, I had NO idea who My Chemical Romance was. Now, it's February 2004, and soon they have another album coming out. And the best part? Hardly anyone knows who MCR is. They're completely underground, which is the beauty of it. They may not stay anti-mainstream for long when their next album comes out, but that's not the point of this review.

The point is that My Chemical Romance is a breath of fresh air in a world of music that's hardly unique anymore. The lyrics are thought-provoking and make you feel emotions you thought were long dead. This album is a great reminder that good music still exists out there. Much praise for My Chemical Romance!

Personal Favorites: Demolition Love; Vampires Will Never Hurt You; and Drowing Lessons.

Free Music Review: This is what they should sound like today
Hit: 5 Stars

Out of all of there 3 cds this is by far the best one. raw and full of energy = great combination. This kicks the pants off the black parade and TCFSR. I was very shocked at how good this record was and who was the person that called MCR emo? I was going to pass this record but I heard a couple of songs from it and liked it. I am new to MCR so yes you can call me a poser because I use to hate this band with a passion but thats all changed. These guys just get a bad reputation is all. If you are new to MCR I would listen to a couple of songs first because this cd might take you a few listens to get into it. I love this cd from start to finish I just wish they could sound like this today but MTV completely changed all that.

Free Music Review: an awesome cd from a band that has lost its touch
Hit: 5 Stars

this is an amazing cd from mcr. their recent stuff such as "three cheers for sweet revenge" and especcialy the "life on the murder scene" cd(the dvd was nice but still could've been better)are awful! get this in your heads.... EMO ISN'T REAL!! it's a musical term. it is impossible to be emo... ive never seen a real one atleast... all i see are wrist slitting freaks who brag about how sharp their razors really are... GROW UP! gothic is amazing and as real as your lives that were created by an all knowing, and all powerful God so they shouldnt be wasted. and all of you "EMO POSERS" should just quit.
i totally recomend this cd to those that care about good music rather than fashion statements and so called "emo trends"

Free Music Review: An essential album
Hit: 5 Stars

This record has been out for over two years now and I'm still as excited when I hear it as I was the first time. As soon as I heard the demo for "Vampires Will Never Hurt You," I was torn between eagerly anticipating the forthcoming full-length and steeling myself to be let down by a record that would not be as good as the demo. I was not disappointed. MCR has gathered quite a large following in the last two years and they have deserved all of the attention they've been getting. This is an essential record for anybody who listens to underground rock. It is certainly a refreshing change from the whining-about-girls-who-dumped-me-while-barely-concealing-my-own-misogyny music that barely passes for rock these days.

Free Music Review: This is music...
Hit: 5 Stars

Amazing. A buddy of mine suggested "Honey, this mirror isn't big enough for the both of us" and from then on I was hooked. I can't explain how much emotion leaks out of this cd, it really is a hidden jem. I think some of the things that make My Chemical Romance stick out are the vocals, (which come off as both desperate and irresitably catchy) and their insane guitar riffs and drums.

Best Songs would be: Honey..., Vampires Will Never Hurt You...and my personal favourite, "Demolition Lovers". It starts off really slow and builds to a fast paced thing of beauty. This guy's voice is like nothing you've ever heard. You'll want to explode and like break stuff. It's awesome.
