I have been listening to MCR for quite sometime (I saw them open for Thursday back in the day), and like most older fans I prefer the original above all (I liked Three Cheers, not the Black Parade so much). It is by far their most raw, inaccessible, dark album to date, since they were not yet the "mainstream" dark pseudo-gothic band that they've become. Here Gerard Way is giving his heart and soul, and honestly I prefer these songs musically (even without the Guitar Hero solos, and string arrangements). This showed the raw potential that the big record labels were looking to exploit, and turn into mainstream corporate rock (face it that's where it's at now).Free Music Review: I like it.

I bought this cd last summer and am still enjoying its content.
This cd is wonderful for people who like hard fast rock, and want something interesting to listen to. It has interesting, deep lyrics that will leave you with much to think about long after you listen to it. I wouldn't recommend this cd for someone who was attracted to My Chemical Romance's music because of The Black Parade, because the styles are very, very different. However, I would recommend it for people who were attracted to them by Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, because the style of the music is much more similar. This is an awesome cd and it will keep you entertained for months.

Yeah. One of the best damn cds out there. After an...interesting...intro, the album kicks off into sheer amazingness with the first song; "Honey, this mirror isn't big enough for the two of us" (great live, I might add). "Headfirst for Halos" is a dash of inspirational music with a variety of...charmingly morbid lyrics, i.e. "And I think I'll blow my brains against the ceiling", while "Demolition Lovers" is simply an amazing tragic love song. Worth mentioning also is "Our Lady of Sorrows, one of the best on the album. This CD makes my top five. And we all know how valued my opinion is amongst you fellows.Free Music Review: Better than REvenge

Too lazy to make an account... so for right now I am under 13. OK, this cd is much more 'hardcore' than revenge. And for all you people out there who get so testy about them going mainstream get a life. If you previously liked the band, you should be happy for them. They are getting somewhere. Besides, it's not like they wanted to be played on mtv. Although that /does/ suck. Some people like all these uderground bands that no one knows about and wears them around like a badge. Get over yourself. This cd is cool, I can relate to most of it, so if you like cool screaming parts mixed in with emotionally written lyrics and great riffs, buy this.Free Music Review: MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE IS AWESOME

I have been a HUGE fan of MCR since "Bullets" and I still am. I was introduced to them by by neighbor, who was in High School at the time. He was playing a very loud stereo, and "Headfirst for Halos" was playing. I fell in love with the song instantly. I asked him the name of the band and immediatly downloaded the entire album of "Bullets." I listened to it and absolutely loved it. CONTRARY TO POPULAR OPINION, SKYLINES AND TURNSTILES IS AN AWESOME SONG NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY. IT ROCKS SO HARD IT CAN BREAK UR ASS IN TWO PIECES.
