Free Music Notes for The Black ParadeFree Music Review: AWESOME!!! Hit: 5 Stars
The Black Parade is a really good album from My Chemical Romance. Maybe better than Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge. Here's a review of the songs:
The End: 8/10- It's basically an intro for the cd. It starts with acoustic guitar, a first for MCR. It's good for an intro.
Dead: 10/10-I love this song! It's really good and catchy.
This Is How I Disappear: 10/10- Another really good song. Really catchy chorus.
The Sharpest Lives: 10/10- Really good. Kind of in the spirit of "To The End" from TCFSR. It sounds a lot like their old stuff.
Welcome To The Black Parade: 9/10- Their first single. It's a good song, but I don't really care for the singing/talking in the beginning. It gets good though after it starts up.
I Don't Love You: 9/10- This is truly a "love and leave" song and another first for MCR. I was really impressed with it and it made me even tear up a little bit. Good song.
House of Wolves: 8/10- This is a good song, but not one of my favorites. It reminds me of a swing kind of song.
Cancer: 7/10- Nothing really special about it, but I like the verses somewhat.
Mama: 10/10- This song is very cool. In the style of "The devil went down to Georgia." I love the beginning especially and the way Gerard says stuff in this song.
Sleep: 7/10- This was the only other song that I didn't really care for. It's a filler in the album if not the song Cancer. It's not HORRIBLE, but nothing really sticks out about it either.
Teenagers: 8/10- A fun song. It sounds country and is a bit funny. It will make you want to sing along.
Disenchanted: 9/10- This song starts out slow and gets a little faster. I really like the chorus. Good if you like slow songs, which I do.
Famous Last Words: 9/10- Great way to "technically end the album" (There's a hidden track that is number 14.) Catchy chorus.
Blood (Hidden Track): 7/10- Yes, there is a hidden song. The song doesn't start until the track get to about 1:30. It's a fun song and kind of reminds me of a commercial song, but creepy. Nothing that great, but they wanted to end the cd in a funny way.
Great album from MCR, with a mishap of two filler songs. But that's not bad. And as a reminder, the album does have language and parental advisory, so you have to be 18 to buy it yourself! (Or order it online so your parents don't know.)
Free Music Review: My Chemcial Romance, Come one come all to this amazing affair! Hit: 5 Stars
You've always been told not to listen to the little teenage girls and their opinion on music, but in this case the girls are right. This CD is amazing! I am a MCR fan and have been for a long time, I am the same age as the band members and it seemed like their lives on CD changed and bore a strange resemblance to what I was going though at the time. It was uncanny. I would swear they had been reading my thoughts! You don't have to be a firkin teenager to like great music. Music has no age limit people, remember that. If someone tells you listening to MCR or anyone else you like is stupid because teenagers like them, they are completely music retarded and close minded. After you punch them in the face, you should just walk away, knowing that crap doesn't matter! Ok don't hit anyone, but you know you feel like it sometimes.LOL Sorry not a big category popularity contest person.:) And I hate it when others tell me what I should be listening to, instead of just saying "hey, not my cup of tea"...(sighs)(I had a moment, it over now, promise.;))
Anyway, I digress... The Black Parade is a concept CD that has had much praise, but not nearly what it deserves! I fear that people think they are some teeny bopper crap band like AFI or Fallout Boy. Unfortunately, They hit the height of their Popularity during the moments that those bands were coming out, so they got looped into a stereotype by people that hadn't heard them, but had heard of them and what they had heard was, that MCR one of those one hit wonder crap bands.(Run-on sentence much?? LOL) I promise you that is far from the truth. The Black Parade is there most "grown up" CD by far, which makes since as they are more grown up.LOL This CD has something for everyone that enjoys good rock music. It has aspects of Queen,Kiss,Bowie, and even Meatloaf.LOL When I say Meatloaf, I think more like the constant changes in the music and moods on the CD. It's a rollercoaster of emotion. Hard Rock, Classic Rock, Punk Rock, Pop Rock are some of the "Categories" I think people can identify with when choosing to listen to this CD. It's got it all! The musicianship is brilliant! Songs Like Momma make me think of Les Miserable's.(Broadway) Like I said it has everything. I highly recommend this CD to anyone who has good taste in music. And if you claim to have good taste and don't own & love this CD, then I truly believe you are music retarded.;)
The moral to the story... check it out!<3

Free Music Review: The Best Album Out There Since American Idiot Hit: 5 Stars
I got this album the day it came out and was amazed at how awesome they are. The band really evolved itself. Ray Toro's guitar riffs and solos are incredible,Gerard's singing got better (although he was good when he SCREAMED his lyrics, he shows he really can sing). Frank's guitars also are awesome and Bob's drumming is incredible I was able to really notice some influences of Green Day's American Idiot,(which is my favorite band; MCR is second) Queen and Pink Floyd. This is my songreview:
The End. - Awesome Song. They really put a simple song like this and made it rock 5/5
Dead! - Definetly one of my favorite songs on the album. The sing along at the end rocks and the solos are incredible 6/5
This is How I Dissappear - Its alright, the chorus is good 4/5
The Sharpest Lives - For some reason reminds me alot of their song To The End 3/5
Welcome to the Black Parade - The first single. If you haven't heard it yet its incredible. Very anthemic 5/5
I Don't Love You- When i hear it i think of Dashboard Confessionals and Angels and Airwaves. Really good song 5/5
House of Wolves- Sounds like Green Day's "Hitchin' A Ride". Both good songs. 4/5
Cancer- Good song. Piano actually sounds good for this emo band. It's sad and shows the grimness of knowing you dont have much time left 5/5
Sleep - Incredible. One of my favorites. Heavy, heavy guitars and good vocals. 5/5
Teenagers - A really good sing a long. I cracked up the first time i heard it. "Teenagers scare the living s--t out of me" One of my favorites on the albunm. 6/5
Disenchanted- Another one of my favorites. Starts of acoustic but soon gets rockin'. I've had it stuck in my head for days and pretty happy i can't get it out. It's lyrics, "You're just a sad song with nothing to say about a life long wait for a hospital stay" are really mind opening 6/5
Famous Last Words- Great way to end an album. The guitar riffs are really great. The words are pretty much the same throughout the song so another good sing along on the album. 5/5
Lastly... Blood! - about 40 seconds... a hidden track like the song after A Day in the Life by The Beatles and F.O.D. by Green Day. It's pretty funny. 4/5
Overall the album is amazing and really shows a turning point in MCR's career.
Free Music Review: The Black Parade Hit: 5 Stars
This is one of my favorite CDs (which includes Three Cheers.. and I Brought You My Bullets of course).
1. The End. 8/10- A great beginning, love how it goes right into Dead!
2. Dead! 9.5/10-This is quite a bouncy song considering the lyrics aren't that upbeat. Still, you can't help but like it.
3. This is How I Disappear 9/10-Has a darker feeling to it. Makes me think of a more polished version of some of their older songs.
4. The Sharpest Lives 10/10-Another song with a darker feel. I used to love this song, but after a while I listened to it so much I got sick of it. Oh well.
5. Welcome to the Black Parade 9.5/10-It's really annoying how this song is overplayed on the radio. Sure, it's a good song, but now practically every single person knows it!
6. I Don't Love You 8.5/10-The latest single, also has a music video. A slower song that's kind of sad. (doesn't make me cry or anything like that, though)
7. House of Wolves 9/10-This is a great song, it doesn't get old quickly. But, it is different then MCR's older stuff.
8. Cancer 9/10-This song is so sad. You can't keep a smile when you listen to it. It just makes you stop what you're doing and listen to it. Made tears come to my eyes.
9. Mama 8.5/10-Has this funny bouncy rhythm to it. Trust me, you've NEVER heard anything like it. Definitely not the typical "Vampires" or "I'm Not Okay" stuff you've heard before!
10. Sleep 8/10-I used to like this song a lot; it's a slower song but it has a really powerful sound to it.
11. Teenagers 8/10-This song is different from any MCR song I have ever heard before.
12. Disenchanted 10/10-I don't know why, but this is my favorite song on the CD probably. It's a softer, slower song.
13. Famous Last Words 10/10-This seems like a song that would appeal to many people. The chorus (I am not afraid to keep on living) really makes me feel like I can do anything!
14. Blood (Hidden Track)7/10-What is up with this song?! Very interesting.. however, it's always STUCK in my head for some reason. It actually begins at 1:30.
Well,I guess you can't expect the same Thank You for the Venom and Drowning Lessons type songs. But it good to mix it up a little with songs like these. Anyways, I love it.
Free Music Review: Join the Black Parade Hit: 5 Stars
With their third studio album, My Chemical Romance seems to become less emo and more in the footsteps of Green Day with apparent ambitions of making The Black Parade as big a success as American Idiot, as other reviewers also have pointed out. In my opinion they have more or less achieved that characteristic, though being a bigger fan of Green Day I would have to credit American Idiot with being the better album here. Regardless, The Black Parade still is clearly worthy to be a recipient of five stars, for with this album My Chemical Romance has gone down a path full of excellent contrasts of soft and heavy melodies, with always catchy song structure and lyrics that aren't afraid to get up close and personal while electric guitars are slamming in the background or even during the calmer songs (such as the beginning of "Welcome to the Black Parade" and the opening track). The album as a whole may seem dark owing to many of the song titles and perhaps the trotting skeleton on the front cover, but this is not entirely so; some tracks such as "Dead!" have a somewhat bouncy, sprightly feel with the electric guitar and Gerard does not sound as mournful on this album as he does for example in the hit "Ghost of You" from Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge. Aside from that, I would suppose that the album is rather dark, though the band's newfound concentration on a more refined hard rock sound contributes more to deliciously loud and solid guitar jams than it does to whiny lyrics. Not to say that Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge was whiny, for its emo characteristics are very vague and the album as a whole is more alternative than emo thankfully. In conclusion, The Black Parade shows further improvement from My Chemical Romance with its powerful expression of emotion and great guitar riffs; I'd probably call it the band's best though their second CD has been one of my favorites for awhile now. For once I'm beginning to hear the band get airplay on the hard rock rather than alternative stations, perhaps a sign that their faltering emo influence is gaining a different audience's respect. That may have something to do with Gerard dying his hair white; but anyway, I'd give this album five stars and would most recommend the tracks "Dead!", "How I Disappear", and "Teenagers".
