Free Music Review: Even more than awesome
Hit: 5 Stars

For starters, I'm over 13 I just don't want to create an account just yet. I've been a fan of MCR since Three Cheers. Yes, back then when they were a different band to most. Once a band changes their looks or appearances everyone goes into meltdown mode and starts to freak out and say its just not the "same" anymore. But is it really worth it to leave behind the music just because of a little change? I think not. Especially when it comes to these guys.

The End 10/10: Awesome intro, makes you want to listen to more.

Dead 9.5/10: Very cool song that reminds me of their old stuff. Great to sing along to.

This is how I disappear 9/10: Reminds me of another song but I can't quite put my finger on it. Very good.

The Sharpest Lives 9/10: Like it a lot, very good lyrics.

Welcome To The Black Parade 9/10: Everyone freaked out with this song. Change hits like a big red bus don't it? Great song and video.

I Don't Love You 10/10: I love this song a lot. One of my faves because I can actually relate sometimes.

House Of Wolves 8/10: Actually my least favorite but very good nonetheless.

Cancer 100/10: Love love love this song. Anyone who says this song has no meaning is crazy. It has so emotion and to anyone whos been through a situation like that it must be hard to listen to a song like this. I hate that its so short, though.

Mama 10/10: MCR never ceases to amaze me. This song freaked me out in a good way. I love it.

Sleep 15/10: One of my faves. I don't know why no one likes this song, I find it really awesome for some reason. And I like how Gerard sings it.

Teenagers 10/10: Catchy song. Almost too catchy but awesome.

Disenchanted 100/10: This one is up there with Cancer. I remember I heard the live version a long time ago and I liked it a lot. Now I love it so much for so many reasons. One of MCR's best.

Famous Last Words 15/10: Way to end the album with a bang. This song rocks so much and I believe it is the next single. Not sure, but that's what I heard. Very well put together.

Great job and best of luck to Gerard, Mikey, Frank, Bob, and Ray. hope to see you soon.

Free Music Review: Are You Scared?
Hit: 5 Stars

I don't know where I was coming from with the title, it's just something that I thought would capture peoples attention, and if you're reading this then that means it worked. My Chemical Romance broke onto the scene with the album "I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love." which gained the band a huge underground following which eventually lead to their mainstream success with their second album "Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge." Although the band have been regularly labelled as an "emo" band, lead singer Gerard Way has regularly shot this down, saying that it's a label that people use to stick them with a particular crowd. I happen to agree with this and see MCR as a truly unique band with a unique and powerful sound.

The previous two albums where what built MCR up and gave them their international recognition and fanbase, which would eventually lead into the release of The Black Parade, one of their biggest albums to date. Sales figures aren't everything and don't really assure you that the album will have the trademark MCR sound that made them so big. This is truly something different from the band, but doesn't steer away from the emotion and epic ambiance that they have become known for. This has received many criticisms by people saying that the band have sold out by becoming too mainstream, this is again something I disagree with as there's nothing wrong with a band like this gaining mainstream success as it simply brings this excellent style of music to the world and gives them the opportunity to appreciate it like I do.

The songs vary in different ways as some start off slow paced and build into something massive and loud, yet some simply blow your mind from the first second of play. Unlike most mainstream music, MCR give us a true message about society in every song and in a sense give you something to think about. Songs such as Blood, Dead & Mama are great tracks, each with their own message.

My top 5 from the album are

Dead
Famous Last Words
This Is How I Disappear
Mama
Welcome To The Black Parade

Obviously the other tracks on the album are incredible but it is something that has to be experienced first hand.

Free Music Review: Long live the black parade!
Hit: 5 Stars

Wow.
What else do I say? This is the best sound I have heard from My Chemical Romance. It's so different from their other albums, but all the changes were for the best. This CD sounds so orchestrated, and big! And I love it!

The End- 4/5 - This song seems like an intro into the CD to me, but it's still a fun, engery packed song.

Dead! - 5/5 - This is a fun song. Especially when they get to the end of the song and start singing the 'la la la' part! I love this song, and they do a great performance of it live!

This Is How I Disappear - 4/5 - This was one of the first songs I heard off the new album, and it's a gooder. I like the bridge of the song. This song has very good guitar in it. It's heavy, but I love it!

The Sharpest Lives - 4.5/5 - This song starts off sounding very dark, but then turns into a fun, energized chorus.

Welcome To The Black Parade - 4.5/5 - This is the track that revolves around the whole cd. This where the other songs came off of. It's a very powerful song, and the lyrics and deep.

I Don't Love You - 4.5/5 - This song is a lot softer, and it has a nice tone to it.

House Of Wolves - 3.5/5 - Im not to sure about this one. I like it, but it's not the one i would have on repeat. It's full of some fun guitar rifs though.

Cancer - 5/5 - Wow. This song is so moving. It's hard to listen to if you know someone who's gone through what they're talking about. But it is a song that really hits hard.

Mama - 3/5 - I don't really like this song. It's the darkest song on cd, as it contains the lyrics "Mama, we all go to hell". It's to moody, and dark for me.

Sleep - 5/5 - I love this song. I've been listening to it lots lately, and it's a really big song, but it's not overly energetic.

Teenagers - 4/5 - This song is so true. And I understand what he means. It's a fun song, and the lyrics stay true.

Disenchanted - 4.5/5 - Another slow song, but it's a powerful song. It ties up the story of the cd. It is a beautiful song.

Famous Last Words - 5/5 - Easily the best song on the CD. Its dark, energetic and fun all at the same time. I love it.

Free Music Review: Their best yet
Hit: 5 Stars

My Chemical romance is a great band.Genard way is so sexy and his voice is amazing. there is somthing bout it that satisfyes me. here is my opinion on each song

The End 8.9/10- I still take the time to enjoy this song, but you get bored of it kind of quickly. I like the lyrics.

Dead! 10/10- As creepy as it is, this song has made me less afrid of death. Because the genre of music is a second nature to me, the lyrics are too, and becouse dropping dead is mostly the whole song, it is so casul now. yes, that does make sense. Does to.

This is how i Dissappear 9.44/10- Really dark song, but at the sametime upbeat in a punky way.very catchy chourus!

The Sharpist lives 10/10- Very simaller 2 this is how i dissapear... but a little better- ilive the chourus. Its a good, hard coure song

Welcome to the black parade 9/10- I used to lOVE this song, and i still do, but it is a top 40 so you know, u get sick of it.but a good song

I don't love you 5/10- simply put, this song bores me

House of wolves 7/10- I never really bothers to listen to that song more than once. It don't really lik it that much

Cancer 8/20- I little boring but I still like it. the lyrics are good. I song worth listening 2.

Mama 12/10- One of my favorites. It is catchy, difrent, and addictting

Sleep 8/10- allot like cancer. the begining is sort of slow but i still enjot it.

Teenagers 10/10- It has a 70's rock feel, its difrent- but there isn't anything worng with it. Its one of those songs where you eathier love it or you hate it. I love it.

Disenchanted 10,000/10- This is my favorite track on the CD. It takes some getting used to- you may not love it the first time, but don't shun it. It is an amazing song

Famous last words 10.5/10- One if my faveriotes. a great single- you will want to hear it over and over

Blood (hidden track)-no comment

Basicly, this album has its dull spots, but it is really great. I suggest you buy it. and i think that for once in life you nshould listen to this emo 12-year-old girl.

Free Music Review: The Siamese Dream of the new milennium?
Hit: 5 Stars

The more I listen to MCR's The Black Parade, the more parallels I find between this album and The Smashing Pumpkins' smash hit (and fan favorite) Siamese Dream.

Don't get me wrong - I haven't listened to this album enough (provided it has only been out for a few months) in order to completely solidify my opinion, but it seems like it's all there.

Self-loathing/bleak world view? Check.
"Wall of Sound" guitars? Check.
Nasal (Corganesque) vocals? Check.
Mellow enough to steal your heart,
but heavy enough to rip it out? Check.

There's more, but I'll let you judge for yourself. Don't get me wrong - I am a huge Pumpkins fan (and have been for over 15 years), so I am not suggesting that the two bands are holistically comparable...but I do think that MCR have put together something special here.

I do feel that one of the biggest obstacles for MCR will be overcoming the stigma that they had developed with their debut - many think of this band as an inauthentic pop-punk-emo here today/gone tomorrow group (and rightfully so, I wanted to rip my cable out of the wall the first time I heard the debut single, "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)."

I'm getting older now, so a lot of people I recommend this album to respond with, "Are you kidding me? My Chemical Romance?"

No. I'm not kidding. Check it out for yourself - go ahead and compare it to the other pop-punk records of recent history. It makes them sound like child's play. How good is it? Siamese Dream good? Go ahead and judge for yourself - just remember to keep your ears and heart open if you listen. Writing a band off before listening to an album is a good way to miss out on some fantastic music.

Suggested tracks:
"How I Disappear" - The bridge of this song will rip you apart.
"Sleep"

Honestly, there are more good songs on this cd than most bands release during their entire career.

Dang...sorry to gush about My Chemical Romance - I forgot - I'm not supposed to like these guys. Hopefully you'll forget, too.
