Free Music Notes for Fly Or DieFree Music Review: REVENGE OF THE N*E*R*D's Hit: 5 Stars
If your a fan of N*E*R*D then I know your refreshed to hear them back with a new CD. Not hip-hop as many newcomers will expect but if you're a fan of "In Search Of"(ISO), then you know what you're getting into.: Warning: This CD is not for people just use to hearing regular Neptune productions (ex: for Jay-Z, Ludacris, Usher, Britany Spears, No Doubt, Limp Bizkit, Nelly, Snoop Dogg, Philly's Most Wanted etc.) You will hate the Neptune's if that's what your looking for and you'll be wondering, "Why did they make this piece of *any bad language inserted here*?" With that aside the CD is solid with 12 tracks plus three (3) more bonus tracks making the total 15 tracks. Lenny Kravitz is on the song, "Maybe" and so is ?uestlove from the Roots. Other guest appearances include Joel and Benji Madden from Good Charlotte. Other than that it's mostly Pharrell crooning which isn't bad this time around. Only bad thing I can say is that most people will have to get use to the CD rather than just catching on quickly (I'm a prime example). Most people won't have the patients and quickly write this CD off. Those type of people will miss out on a style of music that's in a genre of it's own. Highly recommended if your an "ISO" fan but not recommended if your just a fan of the Neptune's/Rap Producers. ENJOY FOLKS!!! PEACE!!!
Free Music Review: Wild ride, so fly here Hit: 5 Stars
After putting together "In Search Of..." in 2002, arguably one of my favorite albums of the new decade, uber-producers the Neptunes return with their sophomore album under the N*E*R*D moniker. The big difference between this album and the debut is the absense of funk-rock foundation band Spymob: this lends "Fly or Die" a more disparate, wilder sound that is somewhat less focused, but no less enjoyable. Pharrell and Chad bring back here what the first album had in spades, and what is the key element in both discs' brilliance: killer melodies and amazing sounds. First single "She Wants to Move" is a wild conglomeration of tribal drums, flamenco guitar, classical piano, and Van Halen-esque guitar sounds. If that sounds busy, you better believe it is. The rest of the album is no small shakes either. Following an insanely acclaimed debut album (one that received the increasingly influential Shortlist Award in the award's second year) after continued success in their dayjobs (producing huge hits for any and almost every major artist), the Neptunes have once again hit the nail right on the head: a sublime, very enjoyable album that showcases the wonderful music in their heads. Given no backlash, N*E*R*D will be a major force to be reckoned with in the future, pushing continuing quality product.
Free Music Review: KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! Hit: 5 Stars
I am always skeptical when a favorite artist of mine puts out a cd. Although I realize that as a fan I should only expect greatness, I am always worried that it will not satisfy my expectations. Fly or Die definitely was up to par. The first song on the CD, "Don't Worry About It" begins with that heart grabbing guitar twang that caught everyone on "Lapdance," the first song from their first CD. Pharrell's well - known falsetto is at prime in this funky song which MUST be played at full volume! The second song on the CD shows N.E.R.D's rockier side with a sort of fast paced rock guitar feel to it. The CD has such variety and has no way of being placed into a specific category of music. People always try to throw N.E.R.D in to the hip hop category but with songs such as "Wonderful Place" and "Jump" (which features Benji and Joel from Good Charlotte) there is no way to type cast this band. Pharrell William's is not a man of pure vocal talent. He sings in such a way that goes with the song...these songs would not sound nearly as good with any other type of singing. His voice goes perfectly with every song even though it is sometimes cracky...it's perfect. I LOVE IT!!! The majority of this CD makes me jump out of my seat and dance for 55 minutes of fun...good work guys, keep it up!

This is the second release by Chad Hug and Pharell Williams aka the Neptunes alias the group N.E.R.D. They blend some rock with Rap music.Standouts include "Don't worry about it" a nice beat by the group."Backseat Love" beat sounds like Hendrix this is a nice song."She wants to move" was the First single and is a standout."Breakout" is a nice fun type of track for the masses that you can dance to."Wonderful Place4" feels like a mix of R&B and Rock and is one of the albums top songs."Thrasher" has a hard beat and hook to it."Maybe" has a very 80s pop feel to it."The Way she dances5" is also a great song and it has a nice feel to it."Chariot of Fire" is not a bad way to close out this album. This album works best when he displays some nice Rock type vocals.Pharell is not a good MC but he is a good singer.

Free Music Review: N.E.R.D. Raps, Rocks, Flows!!! Hit: 5 Stars
*WARNING BEFORE READING BUY THIS PRODUCT*The Neptunes are today's hottest producers, but some of their best work is with their own band, N.E.R.D!!! My favorite track on Fly or Die, are all of them. They all rock, this album is more mellow than their first, because the first is more of a party rap/rock album. This, album adds R&B. I bought the album the day it came out. I really enjoyed the 3 bonus tracks. The slide show that comes with the enhanced cd is nice. Especailly when you are free to watch pictures while listening to N.E.R.D. I bought the cd for $16, I was so happy. I give Fly or Die (from 1-10) a 10!!!, because I really like anything N.E.R.D. does, because their always changing. I like that!!! There is a cameo, from the guys of Good Charollette, in the song "Jump". That song is very nice! N.E.R.D. is all about Rock/Rap/R&B. I love every type of music, so that's probably why, I enjoy N.E.R.D. so much. The thing I hate, is that radio stations do not play "She Wants To Move". They will play the remix feat. I heard this whole cd 17 times since I first bought it. The tunes are great. Everyone should buy this album, if they haven't and when they do, bump that sh*t LOUD!!! Trust me you will like it!!!
