Free Music Review: Good C.D.
Hit: 5 Stars

Pop - Innovative song written by Justin Timberlake and Wade Robson. Absolutely great beat. Good to dance to. Blends electronic music, pop, and r&b. Kind of hard to classify. It's a good dance song, though. It just makes me feel very happy and makes me want to get up and party with friends. And the beatbox at the end is VERY cool.
Celebrity - The most controversial song on the album. People think this song is serious. It's not like their flaunting their celeb status. It's just that some girls use celebs for their status and don't date them for being them. This song is just kind of asking if they would be noticed if they weren't out in the public eye 100% of the time. It kind of proves some good points, like that celebs are real people and deserve to be treated as such.

The Game is Over - I love this song. It's got fun game sounds in it to prove the point of the title of the song. It's got a great message and some of the lyrics are REALLY cute, i.e.:
"Heads I win, tails you lose because you don't have a right to choose." A good song for the cheating lover or friend. Fun to dance to.

Girlfriend - It's got a cool urban beat to it and I like the whispering undertone of it. It's kind of like they're really talking to this girl. Makes it more realistic. This song has beautiful harmonies of the guys on it. I absolutely think this is one of their best songs ever.

The Two of Us - It kind of reminds me of a carnival at the very beginning. It's got a really good beat. A great song. I love the lyrics and the sound. Just an awesome song.

Gone - This song is so sweet. Very R&B. The lyrics are good and the sound is unique and very fitting for the song. Basically a Justin solo with the guys just backing him up, but it sounds really good. I love the little bridge in it. That's my very favorite part. The harmonies in that part are just totally, well, in sync. (No pun intended.)

Tell Me, Tell Me...Baby - It has a very cool intro. The guys sound really great on this song. The lyrics are very interesting. This, like most of the rest of the album, has a very R&B-ish flavor. It just makes you want to go out on the dance floor and party all night. Yes, it has some computerization in it, but that actually influences the song and makes it sound more danceable.

Up Against the Wall - Uses a cool style of music called Two Step. This song always gets stuck in my head. This is definitely a dance tune. Definitely geared to the club scene.

See Right Through You - Very cool message. Yes, this song has an 'obscene word' in the beginning of it. Anyways...this song sounds awesome. Good dance song. Not as good to dance to as UAtW.

Selfish - This song is so beautiful. It was produced by Brian McKnight who is a musical god. The lyrics are gorgeous and the guys just sound so perfect singing it. I absolutely adore this song. A good song to slow dance with your honey to.

Just Don't Tell Me That - Sounds kind of like TMTMB at the very beginning, but it quickly changes. Interesting lyrics. This song is another good dance tune.

Something Like You - This one features another music god, Stevie Wonder. The lyrics are beautiful and the sound of the song is just so sweet. It's like paralyzingly beautiful. If a guy ever sang this song to me, I'd be so in love with him forever. It's a great love song. It kind of reminds me of a movie where a slow song starts playing when the two main characters realize how in love they are. I definitely love this song!

Do Your Thing - When I first heard this song, I didn't really like it. Now though, I think it's really good song with a terrific message. It's also really fun to listen to.

I would definitely recommend this album to anyone, especially a pop fan. Of course, if you don't like *NSYNC, then I'd probably avoid recommending this CD. I don't want to risk bodily harm. Heh.

It also proves that 'pop-stars' can write their own music, as *NSYNC wrote all but 3 of the songs on this album. They produced most of the songs, too....

Free Music Review: THIS is *NSYNC????
Hit: 5 Stars

Well, to start, weren't any of you alive inthe eighties? This isn't a new style of music, it's a return to the big drums and strong guitars. I am very surprised at their new sound, Justin has toned down his "I'm a whiny chipmunk with something up my nose, hear me moan" attitude. He now sounds a bit more like an actual singer. The album also features more of JC, who wrote/co-wrote most of the songs on the album. It does sort of leave you wondering what happened to Joey, Chris and Lance. While none of these members had "prominent" roles in the past, they are now almost invisible in most of the songs. Here's a breif overview of the tracks:

1. Pop: Well, if you haven't heard this one, you're more than likely living under a rock. Turn on the radio right now. It's on, isn't it? I get tired of most songs after the first, oh, 3,000 times I hear them, but with this one, I actually like it MORE each time I hear it. Buy the album for "Pop" if nothing else.

2. Celebrity: I have to honest, the first time I heard it, I burst out laughing. I'm still not sure what "cheese" is, exactly, or how it works into being a celebrity, but I was truly surprised to catch myself singing it absent mindedly. Basically talks about a girl who has been using them for their money, power, fame, etc. Give it a second try if you don't like it at first.

3. The Game Is Over: Sort of annoying, incorporates the sound of a video game along with the basic idea of "Celebrity." Unique song, somewhat reminescent of Toy Box "Fantastic."

4. Girlfriend: Cute song with the guys begging for the affection of a girl. The first boy band song to have a swear word in it. (The "D word.")Touching song with a lot of feeling in the lyrics.

5. The Two Of Us: Possibly my favorite of the album. It's a love song, but it has a fast, fun, carnival music type sound. Just indescribable (most of the album is), but very easily a #1 single

6. Gone: I love this song. At the beginning, you think it will be a fast dance song, but it becomes a heart-wrenching melody. Such a sweet, sorrowful song.

7. Tell Me, Tell Me...Baby: By world renowned writer Max Martin ("I Want It That Way" BSB, "Baby... One More Time" Britney Spears) This one sounds nothing like any of Martin's earlier work, it goes with the sound of the new *NSYNC album, "Tell Me, Tell Me, Baby, How come you don't wanna love me? Don't you know that I can't breathe without you." Unlike the typical pop you're used to.

8. Up Against The Wall: This one is BAD. Keep going.

9. See Right Through You: Great song. Original, fast dance pop, but in the same "quit playing me, girl" attitude most of the album has.

10. Selfish: Filled with beautiful harmonies, but not a personal favorite. I usually skip it.

11. Just Don't Tell Me That: Right back into "you're breaking my heart, stop it already!" Still a great, empowering song. "Just don't tell me that, you don't wanna love me."

12. Something Like You: Stunning love song, just that freshly fallen feel that most of us have upon first falling. Just sweet, tender and loving thoughts in this one, but the tune doesn't slow much.

13. Do Your Thing: Be free, be who you are! Get out of your seat and "Do Your Thing!" I love the message this one delivers, and I love how the album ends focusing im a positive way on the listener.

Most of the album does sound the same. If you don't like "Pop," it's more than likely you won't like the rest of the songs. They all have the same overall attitude, and basic funky backbeats. (It sort of makes you wonder what's gone on in their personal lives over the past year, though.)

Personally, I find it refreshing to break away from the sugary pop that the radio stations are now refreshing. All in all "Celebrity" is a nice break from typical teeny bop pop. And sometimes, even the greatest lovers of pop music want a little more variety. Good job, guys!

Free Music Review: This one should break some records!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

"Celebrity"...is just what us fans waited for and more!!! There's not one song on the album that sounds the same as another! Great beats, cool sounds, great lyrics!(and yes for you haters, they do right there own music...read the insert) Here's a rating song by song..

1) "Pop"~Just what N'Sync needed...a great hit, wish outstanding lyrics!!.."sick and tired of hearing all these people talking 'bout, what's the deal with this pop life and when is it gonna fade out"---not any time soon~~~so get use to it! A++

2) "Celebrity"~very true track!! great lyrics...this song for real! great beat..what a different sound they have on this one!! B

3) "The Game Is Over"~awesome sound effects!!! and funky beat!! this one should be a hit in the future! A-

4) "Girlfriend"~one of my favorites on the album..cool beat..easy to sing with...this one might be a single in the future..let's hope so..A-

5) "The Two Of Us"~my personal favorite on the album...good song to sing with...this song sounds so familiar...awesome tune! I doubt this will be a single...but It's still my favorite!! A

6) "Gone"~cool opening..nice slow song, really soulful...good harmonies..just another good awesome track..like I said, really soulful!!! B

7) "Tell Me, Tell Me...Baby"~awesome opening!! another cool beat...great CHORUS...feel-good song, this is N'Sync's "new" sound...B-

8) "Up Against The Wall"~good song to dance too in the clubs...this song would be cool to remix..I doubt this one will be a single also..still cool though...C

9) "See Right Through You"~I here that N'Sync is getting a little more expressive in this song....which is good..a good message to a lot of people though!!! C

10) "Selfish"~WOW!!! another great slow song!!! this one kinda reminds me of "You Don't Have To Be Alone" off of the Grinch Soundtrack...nice voices!!! this song should of been higher on the track listing on the album..really great!!! A

11) "Just Don't Tell Me That"~another good track to describe N'Sync's new sound...cool story..another cool song though..B+

12) "Something Like You"~Stevie Wonder did a great job with his harmonica part!! This song should of been higher on the track listening also..Stevie deserves it..but oh well..nice easy sounding song..this could be a movie soundtrack....really beautiful song..B

13) "Do Your Thing"~not a bad song..although it is the worst on the album...that's why it's #13...it's alright though..D

Overall, the album has great tunes through and through...and usually most albums just have a couple hits, and a bunch of songs to fill up the album..this one doesn't with the exception of the last track "Do You Thing"...

when the Backstreet Boys followed up their "Millineum" album with "Black & Blue," it wasn't all that....but the follow up album to N'Sync's "No Strings Attached," "Celebrity" turned out really, really, well!!! They do have a talent for singing!! And please with the boy band [junk]..they're not a BAND to begin with..it's called a vocal group..VOCAL GROUP...if your dumb and can't understand that,..that means...SINGING GROUP...so please with the BOYBAND [junk]..they write their own songs, so what if they don't play their own instruments,..at least they can sing...please also refer to Aerosmith's comments on N'Sync about the Superbowl halftime show...(they said they were surprised that they really do sing...and they can hit all the notes really well)..and that coming from a band like that...says a !!!

the wait was worth it!!! well spent $13.00!!! I would recommend this album to anyone...just as long as they have an open mind.

A++++++ way to go N'Sync!!

Free Music Review: Great C.D.!
Hit: 5 Stars

Pop- The first single off of the CD. Also known as "Dirty Pop." A great, fast song. It's about pop music and the feeling you get from it. This version of the song isn't the one that's typically played on the radio, but the version that you hear on the music video. It's the version with the extended dance bread and the one that ends with Justin beat-boxing.

Celebrity- Another song written by Justin and Wade J Robson, the group's choreographer. This is an uptempo song about being used by a girl just because you're a celebrity. It features Wade on the backup, chant vocals.

The Game Is Over- The most creative song on the CD. This one was written by JC and even has a sample from the game "Pacman" as the intro to the song. This song's about breaking up with someone because they've been caught cheating on you. It has a very noticable techno influence to it with its strong, hard beat.

Girlfriend- An uptempo song written by Justin that doesn't really have a fast feel to it. It's about loving someone who's dating someone else who doesn't apprecate them. The best part of the song is in the middle where JC and Justin use their voices in a way that sounds like they're singing a ballad.

The Two of Us- Written by JC, this is another uptempo, but not fast song. It's about realizing that you love one of your friends and trying to hook up with them. The chorus to this song is longer than most choruses are.

Gone- A great ballad written by Justin and Wade. The lyrics to this song are incredibly sad. Justin does all the lead vocals on this song, which does get slightly tiring. There's a great bridge section in this song.

Tell Me, Tell Me...Baby- This is my favorite song on the CD because of it's great dance vibe. It's about finding your perfect match, but for some reason, they don't want to love you and you're asking them why. This song has a great beat that just makes you want to get up and dance!

Up Against The Wall- This song was written by JC and Jusin and it's about going to a club and finding someone to dance with. It also has a great dance feel that just made me want to go out clubbin'.

See Right Through You- A very harsh kiss-off song written by Justin and Wade. It's about telling a girl who's been playing you that it's over and not to come back to you when she realizes that you were the one for her.

Selfish- An amazing ballad written by JC. This song is incredably beautiful and proves that he is an great writer. The vocals are stunning in this song and the harmonizing chords are layered under the leads so well. There is a mini-stack in this song that shows off JC's voice very well. This song features Brian McKnight on keyboards.

Just Don't Tell Me That- Another kiss-off song, but this one is not as harsh as "See Right Through You." It has a great beat and good harmonies that just fit so well.

Something Like You- Another great ballad, though this one was written by Justin. The lyrics to this song are so sweet, they remind me of the lyrics to "God Must Have Spent A Little More Time." This song has a great tune that you'll love instantly. Stevie Wonder plays the harmonica solos in this song.

Do Your Thing- This is the last song on the CD. That's about all there is to say about it.

In my opinon *NSYNC's CD "Celebrity" is a must have for any music fan and I hope that my review has helped you to come to that conclusion too.

Free Music Review: A Whole New Type of Music
Hit: 5 Stars

When I first heard the cd, I thought I was going to hear 10 Bye,Bye,Bye's and three GMHS's. It was totally not what I expected, and it was great. They have invented a new pop sound...dirty. Oh yeah, they wrote almost every song! So here we go track by track-

1. POP- good song, not sure if the we were ready musically for it. It is the version of the song used in their video.(including the beat-box). 4 out of 5

2. Celebrity- new sound starts here... great song with some hot beats. It's more of a mid-tempo and has a great hook. One of my favorites. 5 out of 5

3. The Game Is Game over- How can a song that samples Pac-man be bad? Creative was to slip digi in to the song(digi, digi, think...)Great idea and it works well. 4 out of 5

4. Girlfriend- different vibe for them, it starts like a rap song(not suprising...Neptunes helped with this one). Overall, good song but new direstion for N'sync...good stuff. 4 out of 5

5. Just The Two of Us- Think Jordan Knight's "Give it to you" and plug in N'sync. The only real pop song(not to dirty) it had some good writing..props to J.C. 4 out of 5

6. Gone- GREAT song. Ballad unlike anything I have heard before. Although it's more of a solo for Justin, it works in the end. Haunting hook and great guitar chord that reels you in. 5 out of 5

7. Tell Me, Tell Me...Baby- Original song. Starts off with some new sound effects and kind of vibes like Michael Jackson's "Scream". Then it pulls into a good up-tempo. I like :) 4 out of 5

8. Up Against The Wall- John Blaze hot. N'sync bringin the Two-step formula to life. Great dance number and again a new sound for them. The whole Disco Ball bit is pretty cool. 5 out of 5

9. See Right Through You- up-tempo sporting the "Look into my eyes..tell me what you see" part you'll think you've heard before. Again great stuff.. 4 out of 5

10. Selfish- great ballad produce by Brian MkNight(sorry about spelling). All I have to say is this a great one for background music at a dinner date...4 out of 5

11. Just Don't Tell That- I like this one because it sounds cool after you hear the whole thing. But it sounds like "Tell me" in the very beginning. But you grow used to it. 3 out of 5

12. Something Like You- good song, with Stevie Wonder on harmonica. Has a different sound from the other ballads. The harmonica does make it sound like it's from the 80's a bit. But it picks up- 4 out of 5

13. Do Your Thing- really cool totally unlike anything you've ever heard. I mean that. You just have to hear it. It's a mid-tempo, but it's really an orginal type of song.

Great album overall. However the U.S. version is missing two tracks. One is "That Girl Will Never Be Mine" which is a lot of fun because it kind of sounds like "Bye,Bye,Bye" part two. (Seriously, you can actually sing the chourus in place of the one in the song!) And a song called Falling- a really good ballad written by Chris, but this one will be on the soundtrack for "On The Line"- Lance's movie that is due out in September. N'sync can't be compared to the Backstreet Boys anymore... N'sync has moved on to a different kind of music and they don't even live in the same neiborhood.

Trust me, you will not be sorry about this purchase, because this one surpasses No Strings Attached and is a must have. Even if you don't like N'sync you might want to give this album a try...it stands a good chance to change your mind.
