Free Music Notes for CelebrityFree Music Review: Their Best Yet! Hit: 5 Stars
1. POP- good song, not sure if the we were ready musically for it. It is the version of the song used in their video.(including the beat-box). 4 out of 5
2. Celebrity- new sound starts here... great song with some hot beats. It's more of a mid-tempo and has a great hook. One of my favorites. 5 out of 5
3. The Game Is Game over- How can a song that samples Pac-man be bad? Creative was to slip digi in to the song(digi, digi, think...)Great idea and it works well. 4 out of 5
4. Girlfriend- different vibe for them, it starts like a rap song(not suprising...Neptunes helped with this one). Overall, good song but new direction for N'sync...good stuff. 4 out of 5
5. Just The Two of Us- Think Jordan Knight's "Give it to you" and plug in N'sync. The only real pop song(not too dirty) it had some good writing..props to J.C. 4 out of 5
6. Gone- GREAT song. Ballad unlike anything I have heard before. Although it's more of a solo for Justin, it works in the end. Haunting hook and great guitar chord that reels you in. 5 out of 5
7. Tell Me, Tell Me...Baby- Original song. Starts off with some new sound effects and kind of vibes like Michael Jackson's "Scream". Then it pulls into a good up-tempo. I like :) 4 out of 5
8. Up Against The Wall- John Blaze hot. N'sync bringin the Two-step formula to life. Great dance number and again a new sound for them. The whole Disco Ball bit is pretty cool. 5 out of 5
9. See Right Through You- up-tempo sporting the "Look into my eyes..tell me what you see" part you'll think you've heard before. Again great stuff.. 4 out of 5
10. Selfish- great ballad produce by Brian MkNight(sorry about spelling). All I have to say is this a great one for background music at a dinner date...4 out of 5
11. Just Don't Tell That- I like this one because it sounds cool after you hear the whole thing. But it sounds like "Tell me" in the very beginning. But you grow used to it. 3 out of 5
12. Something Like You- good song, with Stevie Wonder on harmonica. Has a different sound from the other ballads. The harmonica does make it sound like it's from the 80's a bit. But it picks up- 4 out of 5
13. Do Your Thing- really cool totally unlike anything you've ever heard. I mean that. You just have to hear it. It's a mid-tempo, but it's really an orginal type of song.
Trust me, you will not be sorry about this purchase, because this one surpasses No Strings Attached and is a must have. Even if you don't like N'sync you might want to give this album a try...it stands a good chance to change your mind.
Free Music Review: 13 songs, 11 spectacular Hit: 5 Stars
I love NSYNC, but I must say that I expected this album to be pretty bad because Justin wrote many of the songs and his song "I'll be Good for You" off NSA was, in my opinion, [crud]. I was pleasantly surprised however when the songs started playing. "Pop" is a good piece of work except for Justin's beatbox at the end. What purpose did that serve anyway?? It has a really good beat to it, and I loved the video although it was obvious that it was Wade not Joey doing the dancing. "Celebrity" speaks to a star's worst fear: people only hanging out with you and wanting to be with you because you're famous not because of who you are. It is an appropriate song for one of the biggest acts in music to come up with. "The Game is Over" has to be my favorite song on the album. It is co-written by JC Chasez. I love the way they put samples from Pacman in there. My favorite part of the song has to be when JC starts in with "how could..." The beat right there is great. "Girlfriend" is one of only two songs on the album I didn't much care for. The music just doesn't fit the lyrics. It is too up tempo. I'm not saying that it should have been a slow song. It just needed to be slowed down a little. "The Two of Us" is perfect tempo and great lyrics once again co-done by JC. "Gone" is just great. I never thought Justin could write something as beautiful as that. "Tell me, Tell me...baby" brings back the days of "Bye Bye Bye". A good song to dance or work out to like so many songs on the album. "Up Against the Wall", I really can't explain this song. Just listen to it. You'll either like it or hate it. There won't be any in between. "See Right Through You", again I didn't think Justin could write such good songs but again (for the 5th time this album with the exception of "girlfriend") he has proven me wrong. "Selfish", a wonderful ballad that JC worked on and Brian Mcknight produced. "Just don't tell me that" another moving up tempo nuber that had me dancing around my house. My favorite ballad on the album "Something Like You" co- written by Justin and Robin Wiley who wrote the a capella "I Thought She Knew" that was on NSA. Their voices on the chorus are so wonderful, beautiful, and haunting. "Do Your Thing" closes out the album, and it's the second song that I don't care for. I just don't like the music or the lyrics to it, and I'm happy to say that it was not written by any NSYNCer. The bottom line: masterful piece of work. Once again NSYNC have proven that they aren't just a boy band. I have faith that their albums will just get better and better and that they will be around for a while yet. I just wish they'd let Lance Bass sing lead once in a while. You hear me JC and Justin?
Free Music Review: A New Direction For NSYNC Hit: 5 Stars
Nsync has scored another hit, or at least with me. The 13 songs on this cd (out of which 10 were co-written by either Justin or JC) have started a new direction in the endless career of NSYNC. The 13 songs are:1. POP- Nsync's first single off Celebrity, a bit of an eye-popper upon first-hearing but a great song that shows of Justin's unique song-writing talent. 5/5 2. Celebrity- The beginning of this song is OK, but the rest of it is great. Some of the words are strange, but a good song, also co-written by Justin. 4/5 3. The Game Is Over- Another up-beat song, this time by JC, one of my favorites on the album. Has a great beat. 5/5 4. Girlfriend- Upon first listen, I didn't really like this song, but now it is also one of my favorites on the album, the chorus is great and its not as up-beat as the last 3 songs but not as slow as Gone. 4/5 5. The Two Of Us- My favorite song on the album, JC's lyrics are great. Another somewhat slow song, like Girlfriend, but a little less in your face. 5/5 6. Gone- Everyone has been saying that this song is incredibly beautiful, but I only find it OK. It is pretty, but it's not as great as This I Promise You and I miss JC's voice on this song, as Justin gets the solos, and towards the end it drags on. But still, its good. 4/5 7. Tell Me, Tell Me...Baby- One of few songs not written by NSYNC and I miss NSYNC's flavor. Its moves them back to a Backstreet sound, but it is still catchy. 3.5/5 8. Up Against The Wall- A great song, with an awesome beat quite unlike any of the otehr songs on the album. Co-written by JC and Justin. It molds the two's different styles into one. Great. 5/5 9. See Right Through You- Another one by Justin. It has the familar high note in the chorus like Gone, its a good one. 4/5 10. Selfish- A very pretty song. I like it better than Gone, its simlar to some of the slow songs on NSA, but good. Also written by JC. 4.5/5 11. Just Don't Tell Me That- Reminds me a lot of Tell Me... Not written by NSYNC, but its alright. It grows on you as it continues, though. 3.5/5 12. Something Like You- A beautiful song written by Justin, it fits Nsync extremely well. 5/5 13. Do Your Thing- The final song on the album, upon first listen is very non-NSYNC but its good. The best song not written by NSYNC. 4/5 Overall I give the album 5 stars because it has a great sense of diversity and it really shows NSYNC breaking off on their own. Even the two European songs, That Girl (Will Never Be Mine) and Falling (written by Chris), are catchy. Falling is great and I wish Chris had written more songs on the album. This cd will be a hit!
Free Music Review: A big step forward for the guys Hit: 5 Stars
Ok,yes,I'll admit-I am a fan of *NSync's,and have been for a while now-but let me tell you, these guys never fail to amaze me. When i first put in the cd and heard 'Celebrity',I was saying to myself "Oh,great-what did they get themselves into now?" But once you get into the first verse you really feel the song-it's hot!POP: everyone has heard this song, and for some, maybe a little too much, but the song in itself is great. Celebrity: one of my faves. i think the message is awesome. the sound is a little different for them, but this song has to be one of the best on the cd. The Game Is Over: actually has video game sounds in the background, and again, you can hear their "new sound". I love this song-very electronic. Girlfriend: very R&Bish, would remind you of Joe or Brian McKnight. the beat is very soulful, and Justin wrote it-you can so tell anyway by the feel of the song. The Two Of Us: this or 'Gone" would have to be my absolute favorites. this has a very feel good vibe to it-makes me wanna smile and give someone a hug. Gone: this one is amazing! when i heard this first half i thought it was just another slow ballad, but once you hit the chorus, the beat just hits you..i wouldn't even consider it a slow song, since i don't really like slow songs! Tell Me,Tell Me...Baby: again-great song. the hook is very catchy and "poppy" Up Against The Wall: love this! it totally makes me wanna dance. the 'mirror mirror on the wall' part is the best! very energetic song. See Right Through You: sounds very angry-but that sounds very sexy to me in a way! this is also one of my faves. it flows very well. Selfish: it's a ballad,so not really of my interest, but i love the chorus,it's very sweet-and Brian McKnight produced it:) Just Don't Tell Me That: classic pop song. i love the lyrics, and it's very catchy. Something Like You: this is the PERFECT ballad-it's very sweet, and i can tell Justin put his heart into this one. Do Your Thing: i like the rhymes and hooks in this one,but it doesn't really stand out on the cd. Overall, this cd is wonderful. i was expecting another No Strings Attached-but they totally grew as artists, and they are proving it on this cd with having written and produced 10 of 13 songs. My dad and brother love this cd,and are nowhere NEAR nsync fans,so i can guarntee anyone would love this cd-nsync fan or not.I would not miss out on this cd,it's very creative-i had all of the songs stuck in my head all at once after only listening to it once! I promise you'll fall in love with the cd,i already have:) @-}--
Free Music Review: The best? Not yet!! Hit: 5 Stars
'Celebrity' is Nsync's fourth album, also their best album at the moment, I don't understand why there are some people write the review with low rate without listen this CD first? If you hate Nsync so much, why are you listen to their music? I think that is because some people envy their talent, yes! talent that BSB and other so called boybands don't have. BSB even can't produce their single, but NSYNC prove they can do other boybands can't. In fact, after listening 'Celebrity' so many times. I think they are not boyband any more. This album is ten times better than their third album NSA and BSB's boring 'Black & Blue'. Justin, JC and Chris write and produce (co-produce) 11 out of 15 songs. My CD is import version. So it contains two more songs, 'That girl(will never be mine)' and 'Falling'. In fact, this album is not their best yet. Because only Justin and JC sing the lead, I am not happy with the other three are back up. Chris signs the lead in 'Falling', he signs very well. I also like his voice in 'Thinking of you'. Joey proves he can signs excellent in On the Line movie, Lance is my favourite member, I always want to hear Lance signs the lead, because he gets a great bass voice. If you have MP3, you can download the song that Lance signs the lead in 'How deep is your love', which is a very good song that NSYNC not release yet. I love whole songs in 'Celebrity', especially 'POP', 'The two of us', 'Girlfriend', 'Tell me tell me...baby', 'Up against the wall', 'See right through you', 'Selfish', 'Just don't tell me that', 'Something like you', 'That girl(will never be mine)', 'Falling' and 'Do your thing'. None of them are fillers. Some of them have so much potential to publish as singles, like 'Tell me tell me...baby', 'up against the wall','See right throught you' and 'Something like you'. The Other songs 'Celebrity' is probably the weakest song in album, 'Game over' is interesting, but the song went bad when JC signs 'How could you do me like that...'. 'Gone' is very special song that I have ever heard. Justin has very good talent for this songs and others, but does he has to sound like a girl some time? Next time, when everybody(Chris,Joey,Lance) sign equal leading as JC or Justin in teir next album, I think that will be NSYNC's best album. But since Justin will sign solo without other bandmates, I am afraid that 'Celebrity' will be NSYNC's final album. Damn that they didn't show their whole ability and talent to the world. But they indeed create a wonderful history in pop music.
