Free Music Notes for CelebrityFree Music Review: The guys Do Thier Thing Hit: 5 Stars
I really didn't have that high of hopes for this CD initially, because No Strings Attached was unbeatable to me. And I wasn't too exicted about the song "Pop" when it first came out. When I got the cd home and listened to it, my eyes opened, though. "Celebrity" is a well-done, well-though out album, which sets the men of NSync apart from EVERYONE else. It is full of hip-hop, dance and what JC calls on "Up against the Wall" "two-step". It suprised me; I did not expect so much flavor on this album. NSA had alot of songs that were urban influenced, but this one takes the cake. Each song has a little bit of something different on it, which makes it out to be great;1.Pop--Dancy, as you well know 2.Celebrity, Also dancy with a message to Britney and Joey's baby's mother 3.The Game is over- Very cute, phat beat and love the Pac-Man 80's revival! 4.Girlfriend--Absolutley adore this song! It has such a fine, phat beat, and the words are sweet without being overly soppy. If they sang this song to me, damn right I'd be thier Girlfriend! 5.The Two of US- Also sweet with a cute, groovable beat that makes you feel as if you're on your first date at a carnival. 6.Gone- Perfect song! SO urban-loving it! It makes you want to give Justin a hug. Justin is a great songwriter, and I love his work--especially "I'll be Good for You" from NSA. By far, the best NSync song ever.... 7. Tell me, tell me....baby--Good dance beat 8.Up against the wall-EVEN UPTIGHT FRAT BOYS at my school dance to this song! PLAY it at the clubs, baby! 9.See right through you--pretty good. 10.Selfish--Sweet, great ballad. Not too syrupy. 11.JUst don't rell me that--real good. 12. Something like you- LOve it. SIng it me, Joey (Who along with CHris and Lance, you hardly hear at all on this Cd) 13.Do your thing-- Love it! Reminds me a bit of New Edition and Boys to Men, with a little bit of that white-boy flavor.;) Overall wonderful CD. I like great music, and NSYnc has done it right this time. Just one complaint..where are the rest of the guys?
Free Music Review: BEST NSYNC ALBUM EVER! Hit: 5 Stars
NSYNC finally has made music I can listen to over and over again! I liked their last two albums but I LOVE this one! I like NSYNC a little bit more thanks to this album! 1. Pop-this song is fun to sing and dance along to. This song has a good message too. Justin says this song is to answer the critics. I can see why. 2. Celebrity-this song is also fun to dance and sing along to. This song has a good message. If you were dating a celebrity and you weren't one, would you stay with him if one day he wasn't one too? 3. Game Is Over-this song is also fun to dance and sing along to! 4. Girlfriend-this song sounds like 'It Makes Me Ill' from No String Attached. Great song to sing and dance along to. 5. Two of Us-nice song to dance and sing along to. 6. Gone-one of my favorite songs on this album. I pick love songs over anything. This song sounds like 'This I Promise You' from No Strings Attached except this song is on the sad side of things. It can make you cry because it's so deep, sad, and touching. 7. Tell Me, Tell Me...Baby-nice song to dance and sing along to. This song has a good message. Love is a two sided thing and if one doesn't give his/her share, there's a problem. 8. Up Against the Wall-nice song to sing and dance along to. Perfect song to play if you ask someone out and they say no. 9. See Right Through You-nice song to sing and dance to. 10. Selfish-ultimate favorite song! It's another love song and like 'Gone', sounds like 'This I Promise You' but on the sad side. It makes you cry for the same reason as 'Gone' makes you. 11. Just Don't Tell Me That-nice song to sing and dance along to. 12. Something Like You-another love song that sounds like 'This I Promise You', 'Gone', and 'Selfish'. This song may make you cry a little but not as much as 'Gone' and 'Selfish'. 13. Do Your Thing-my least favorite song on this album. It's not very dancable and the beat is boring but it has a good message to it. I hope my review helped you and I have two words for you: GET IT!
Free Music Review: Their best album-I'll tell you why: Hit: 5 Stars
Why on earth people continually insist on comparing *Nsync to the Backstreet Boys is beyond me, they have proven themselves to be in a league of their own in my eyes. The Backstreet Boys have a few catchy songs, but I've really never been impressed by their vocals-they harmonize fairly well, but none of them can hold a note like Justin or JC. And they have done SOOO many ballads, I really get sick of their slow songs, they don't have the voices to carry on a ballad very well. And for some reason, their breathy, whimpering, sugary vocals bother me, I don't like listening to it. At least the members of *Nsync can actually sing-and I personally think their music is far better, it's more catchy, and I feel less guilty for enjoying it. I'm sick of people complaining 'this band/group/singer is too much like this other band/group/singer.' Who the f&*^ cares? I don't see much of a difference between Guns 'N' Roses, Led Zepplin and Aerosmith, they're all just a bunch of screaming rockers. And their lyrics are no less generic than those of pop stars-instead of singing lovesick 'I-want-you-back' anthems, they just sing about drugs and sex. So. If it's good, who cares if it's similar to something else...that's also good?! Oh, and you should really disregard Tom Servo's review, because his bashing of gay marriage clearly shows he is just another stereotypically b!tchy, overtly macho bigot (who is likely still questioning his own sexuality). Anyways, on to topics that actually matter. This disc starts out excellently, with the incredibly catchy, fun and danceable "Pop," which my dad actually enjoyed. Other standout tracks are the funky "Girlfriend" (though I must admit the Nelly remix is better), the sweet and ear-easy "The Two Of Us," and those looking for a "Bye Bye Bye"-esque infectious dance workout will probably love the explosive "Tell Me, Tell Me...Baby." Overall, this is an excellent album, it is their best and has far less filler than their other two.
Free Music Review: Pop Isn't Such A Bad Word... Is It? Hit: 5 Stars
I had never owned an N'Sync album until "Celebrity", and now I feel obligated to buy the first two albums. I hate to admit it, but I've always been a pop fan since BSB came out with "Quit Playing Games" and other R&B-esque songs. And when N'Sync busted out with "I Want You Back" and "Tearin' Up My Heart", I thought they were the best thing since sliced bread. But I was too chicken to buy their albums because I felt they were a BSB clone. But they've grown musically, because now they're writing their own songs. They've flipped the script a bit and thrown in a lil 2-step ("The Two Of Us", "Up Against The Wall"), dirtier beats ("Pop"), and melodic ballads ("Gone") . Their cool harmonies are reminiscent of Take 6 on the uplifting "Do Your Thing" (a song teenyboppers can't stand). I love "Do Your Thing"'s acapella vibe. I'd say N'Sync's "Celebrity" is a notch better than BSB's "Black & Blue" (which was really good). The only complaints I had was that "Tell Me, Tell Me... Baby" and "Just Don't Tell Me That" sound like "Bye, Bye, Bye" Parts 2 and 3. Even the word "tell" shows up twice in the song titles. And how come Chris, Lance, and Joey don't get any singing parts? At least give them a bridge. I've heard Chris's voice on "Drive Myself Crazy" and he would be a good lead on a ballad. Besides that, I wasn't disappointed by this album. Even if you're evoked to vomit upon the mentioning of their name, N'Sync will force you to like at least one song on their latest effort. Why do pop-hating music fans even bother to bash N'Sync anyway? Didn't they either buy or borrow the album and listen to it in its entirety? That must mean they like "pop" to some degree. Ohterwise, why would they waste their time?
Free Music Review: WOW---Really impressive "pop" music Hit: 5 Stars
I must say, I have NEVER liked 'N Sync or the Backstreet Boys or any other boy band. I have always thought they have stucken to the same bland formula. But when I first heard "Pop" on the radio I had no idea it was 'N Sync; I thought it was a new hip hop group making fun about pop music, which with groups like the Backstreet Boys which is very boring and formulic. Then I saw the video and thought it was cool; so I recently bought the cd to see what it was like. I was very surprised; its actually VERY good. For the first time an album has been made by a group that I always had thought only sold records by their looks but no artistic value; also for the first time I can buy a pop cd without being emberrassed since I am 20 years old and am in college. Well, reading in the liner notes that most of these songs were co-written and co-produced by the members themselves really surprised me, because other pop acts like BSB and Britney have co-written songs before and they sound really bad, but 'N Sync has actually managed to write and produce really good single-worthy songs that strectch beyond the same old "this i promise you/i'll never break your heart/but my love is all i have to give/shape of my heart" crap. "Pop" is a really good song since I have always loved pop music yet have walked away from it with the rise of so many formulic boybands, so this song takes pop music a little further to make it cool for all ages. Being a big fan of the Neptunes, I really like "Girlfriend" on this album as well as a really cool video game inspired song named "The Game Is Over"--that's an 'N Sync music video i actually wouldn't mind seeing on MTV on TRL everyday. "Gone" is good too, it goes really beyond all those typical pop ballads. Big up to Justin and crew for their really good efforts; now I can say I like "pop" music again.
