Free Music Notes for Home for ChristmasFree Music Review: NSync Is Home For Christmas Hit: 5 Stars
I am personally a huge NSync fan, but didn't get this album untill a few weeks ago. I don't know what took me so long, because "Home For Christmas" is by far the best CD released by the group. The long awaited due date for the new album "No Strings Attached" was once again pushed back, and that's what urged me to go pick up the Christmas CD. I am so impressed at the quality of this CD. Not only is it one of the best Christmas albums to ever be released, but it's also, in my opinion, NSync's best album to date. I'm just going to just go through all the songs and tell everyone what I think of each of them, because I have opinions on all of them, and if you don't want to hear them, well you can stop reading. :) #1-"Home For Christmas" What a great way to start of the CD. The song starts very mellow and ends up with a full choir at the end. I love this song because it's the feel good type that you expect on a Christmas album. #2- "Under My Tree" This is such a clever song. I love the way the group sneaks in songs about love and romance for the holidays. This song is great. #3- "I Never Knew The Meaning Of Christmas" Ok, once again, love and romance, but what the hell, I can't get enough of it, especially from NSync. #4- "Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays" What a great song. Everytime I hear it I want to dance, or just run and hug someone. It just makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, because it has a wonderful message. #5- "Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire" We all know this song, it's on virtually every Christmas album ever made, that's why it is lovingly called "The Christmas Song". NSync's version is very simple compared to some of the other songs on the album, but I have to say, that's what makes the song so charming. We know they're talented, this song proves that they don't have to show off, and they still sound amazing. #6- "I Guess It's Christmas Time" I love all the songs on the album, but if I had to pick a least favorite, this would be it. It has that "We Are The World" feel, not that that's a bad thing. The song in my opinion sounds cheesy, but the words are brilliant. #7- "All I Want Is You This Christmas" This is one of my favorite tracks. Chris and Joey both have solos, that's always a good thing. This is a feel good song, and it works. Everytime I hear it... I feel good. Mission accomplished, this is my favorite. #8- "The First Noel" Beautiful rendition. My mom loves this song. Enough said. #9- "In Love On Christmas" If you want a little R&B for Christmas, this song will fufill your every need. Great beat, their voices are incridible as always, this is a very cool track. #10- "It's Christmas" Ok, now i said that #7 is my favorite song, well I lied. Actually #7 & #10 are tied for me. I love this song, it's beautiful, i love the feet crunching in the snow at the begining, classic. Absolutely beautiful. #11- "Oh Holy Night" More like "Oh Holy Voices". If you want to listen to a song that will make you say "DAMN!" look no further. This is the acapella version of the song, and it's absolutely amazing. I don't know how in god's name Chris hits those high notes, but I only have you thing to say, "You go boy." #12- "Love's In Our Hearts On Christmas Day" I'd have to say that this is the most moody song on the album, but there is nothing wrong with moody. Vocals are great, I love the piano. #13- "The Only Gift" This is such a sweet song. I'd have to say that the high light is Lance's little solo. What a voice. #14- "Kiss Me At Midnight" I'm going to listen to this song when the ball drops for the new year, then I'm gonna put in Will2K, just for the hell of it. Anyway, it's not too often that a new years song comes along, and NSync did a good job of pulling it off with this. Alright everyone. If you read my whole review, thanks. I may only be 18, but I have my opinions on music and am going to share them. I hope you buy the CD if you don't already have it, because it's awesome. Thanks for your time.
Free Music Review: YES YES YES here we go, NSync has got the flow! Hit: 5 Stars
Usually Christmas albums are reserved for Christmas, but this one is good for the whole year round. With a medley of love songs the melt your heart... I can't resist the temptation of playing it over and over again. My favorite part though, is when Lance has his 5-sec solo singing "All I want for Christmas is you." So far, I have 5 of their CDs...when I can fork up the money, I'm definitely going for the 6th. Sigh... I wish we didn't lose the tickets for their April concert... now we can't go and I'll never get to see them live! Anyways.... NSync, I not only "respect" your music, it plays such an important part of my life, you wouldn't understand. It has brought me closer to my friend, Michelle, and it motivates me to be a better person all the time. These songs tend to grow on you and are extremely addictive. They replay in your head ALL the time...I wish that along with their spring/summer tour, they would include some of these Christmas songs as well. I recommend y'all (<I got that from Justin) to also buy the Winter Album... because it is very good; a combo of their best from their self titled album and this album. I regret not knowing *NSync earlier because they have been a surge of happiness in my life ever since my friend Michelle introduced me to them. I speak from my heart that this is a "must-have." With harmonizing voices and deep expressions, I promise that this is a good deal; and I tell you; it's title is a misnomer because you don't listen to it just during Christmas, you don't just play it twice in December, no, you will find this CD to be in your player all time... except when you are playing other NSync albums, that is. The Lord has blessed these five to have angelic voices and He has given them the opportunity to share it all with us. Their overwhelming success is a blessing not only to them, but to us listeners as well. I'm so proud of them! I'm glad that NSync is under the "popular music" catagory. And I know how much they hate being compared to the BSB, but in my opinion, NSync is on a higher pedestal because.... because they actually interact with their fans, and they all have voices that can make me melt. NSync is more down to earth, and through their videos, it's so obvious that they love their job and they realize how fortunate they are in life. In a word, they're fun. Justin, Chris, Joey, Lance, and JC are very cool. And need I tell you that the booklet in here has GREAT pictures of them? It's the same ones that they put on huge posters... yeah... so in a nut shell, it's well worth the money... because if you spent a dime for every hour you will enjoy listening to this album, you could probably buy a Rolls Royce! Stay NSync & God bless! vicky-- Los Angeles, age 17 Wyleusmile@aol.com
Free Music Review: "Home For Chrismas"..a celebration of music and the Holidays Hit: 5 Stars
I'm not what you would call an avid fan of the group 'N Sync, nor am I a so called "teeny-bopper"...what I am, is fan of great music. When it comes to spending money on a CD, I want to be sure it's something I'll enjoy now, tomorrow and any time I feel like slipping it into the CD player. This CD, "Home For Christmas" does just that. The songs are original and personally, whether they wrote them or not has nothing to do with it. Some people can write music, some can sing and others can do both. All should be respected for their own individual talents. The remakes of songs like "The First Noel" and "The Christmas Song" have been done before but are still excellent versions. The a cappella verison of "O Holy Night" simply exceeds words. Not only is it rich in a deep, flowing harmony but the feeling you get listening to the song is almost indescribable. "Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays" is a great song about the simple joy of the holidays, being happy and sharing that with others. Many of the songs, "I Never Knew The Meaning Of Christmas", "All I Want For You This Christmas", and "Under My Tree" are heartfelt and touch at the idea of being "In Love On Christmas". "Kiss Me At Midnight" was a welcome and new spin on the energy and spirit of New Year's Eve. My personal favorite on the album is "In Love On Chrstmas." The voices of JC and Justin have a quality that just captures you along with Lance's solid bass voice. Joey and Chris also add a wonderful light quality to the song and the five put together keep the CD Player on "repeat track." It's wonderful. While the idea of Christmas albums may not be new, 'N Snyc brings a wonderful new style to the holiday season and, in some ways, make you feel as though Christmas could be everyday. 'N Sync has a style all their own; everyone does, and they should be respected for the time and spirit they put into their work. Clearly this album is a symbol of their love for singing and sharing music with everyone, fans and non-fans alike. It's a wonderful collection of music which ranges from energetic pop to soulfull a cappella. True this album won't please everyone, you can't, but try not to write them off as just another "boy band." Sit down, turn the CD on and listen to the music instead of what other people say for a change...you might be surprised.
Free Music Review: Talent Hit: 5 Stars
I know that is is only August but i still every onece and awhile listen to this album. I think it is great and it is so refreshing to hear some new christmas music. I think however it is such a shame that some people have nothing better to do than come here and write bad reviews just because they dont like this type of music. It is the most rude and disrespectful thing that you can do. For all those people out there that say this is not real music you need to stuff a sock in it. Last time i checked the vocal box was also considered an instrument and the members of NSync have proven that they have vocal talent, a whole lot of it. For all those that say nsync can not play musical instruments you're wrong. Joey can play drums, JC can play piano, and Justin can play guitar and so can Chris. They just choose to not play on there albums. And who are you to say that if they could not play instruments that they were not real musicians. Oh and by the way they do try and write some of their own music, they just have such limited time that it is hard for them to write. Also, last time I check Frank Sinatra never wrote a single song he ever sang and he did not play an instrument but he is still considered one of the best and I think he has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard. And to whomever said we should listen to Marilyn Manson, no thank you. I dont much care to listent to something i can not understand in the first place. I also doubt that he would even know the first thing about singing a christmas song since he is worshiping the devil. Im sorry but I am a Christian and a believer in God not the devil so i refuse to support anyone that does what he does. I say more power to NSync. I hope that they continue the great work. I am more than looking forward to the next album. I anticipate it will be even better than the first. God bless them for what they Music Review: Ok so its July...I'm still listening to it!!! Hit: 5 Stars
Well, even though it's nowhere near the Christmas season, I am still listening to this CD. My favorite song on the CD is the last one, 'Kiss Me At Midnight' I love that song, and Justin can kiss me anytime, not just at midnight. Just kidding to all you freaky Justin luvers!! (He's my favorite though, just cuz he's the closest to my age, and, oh, those blue eyes) But my all time favorite Christmas song is 'The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire)'. I love that song no matter who sings it, but *N Sync sings it the best, no questions about that. I also love how they sang 'O Holy Night' a cappella. Its amazing what they can do with their voices. The only song that was odd was The Only Gift. The lyrics sounded like they should have been sung by a female, but nevertheless, *N Sync pulled it off. Another funky song is 'In Love on Christmas'. Its very R&B, and it really doesn't sound like *N Sync. If you were to hear it on the radio, I betcha you wouldn't know it was them. 'All I want Is You This Christmas' is very catchy, along with 'Love's In Our Hearts On Christmas Day'. Perhaps the song that will sound very familiar is 'Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays.' It was in the Christmas movie starring Johnathan Taylor Thomas and Jessica Biel. I can't seem to remember the name of the movie right now, but its on the tip of my tounge. I think it was called Home For Christmas, but I'm not sure. Anyways, this CD is great overall, so I am giving it 5 stars. If you are looking for heartfelt songs with meaningful lyrics and wonderful voices, plese buy this CD. I can guarrantee it, you won't regret it!! I will always luv *N Sync.
