Free Music Notes for Escape To Venice
Free Music Review: Nouveau Flamenco with a rock beat.

First I would like to leave a note for Flamenco purists. Do not buy this CD, then complain it is not traditional Flamenco! True Flamenco is an acquired taste. Personally, I don't want to have to "teach" myself to like a song! That being said pop this CD in and it is instantly enjoyable! I would call it Nouveau Flamenco combined with a strong rock beat, a bit of Italian, and a hint of jazz. This is NOT a CD to fall asleep with. Very uplifting - almost every song is quite energetic with a heavy rock style beat. (Happy to say no drum machine here!) He mixes it up a bit with the second song (a vocal, which is different at first, but the more I listen to it, the more I like it). To my untrained ears, he is quite the technician - very clean animated playing of catchy melodies! The closest comparison is Nova Menco - (since he used to be the lead guitar). The main difference is the stronger beat. Not one bad song on the whole CD!
