Free Music Review: It works for everyone...

...I finally got around to seeing this show last night in NYC --- on the Saturday evening before the Gay Pride Parade. At 10pm. There were three bachelorette parties in the audience, which added a special electricity to the room (and proved that it works for the straights as well as the gays!). In my experience, shows that had to resort to nudity were one-note symphonies, ultimately flat and lifeless. But not this one! It revels in its penis-baring honesty! The show truly was a fun experience, and there wasn't a slouch in the cast! Lingering outside after the show, I even got to talk to three members of the cast, and they all said that the audience gave them a special charge. It was great fun. From "Gratuitous Nudity" to "The Bliss of a Bris," to "I Beat My Meat," it was classic musical theatre. But I doubt that it will play Peoria!...and by the way, don't make the mistake I did. I bought the disk at the show last night...because I figured it might be an indie label not out here. Amazon rules!
