Free Music Notes for I Am...Free Music Review: timeless classic!!! Hit: 5 Stars
I'm sick and tired of these journalists and haters dissin' Nas. Hear me loud and clear: THIS ALBUM IS DOPE, BUY IT. OK it might not be 'Illmatic part II' but Dre never supassed 'The Chronic', Snoop 'Doggystyle' and Wu-Tang 'Enter the 36 Chambers'. Illmatic wouldn't be the seminal classic it is if Nas reproduced it multiple times over. This installment strengthens Nas' legacy and dominion in rap: 'Illmatic' and 'It Was Written' are undeniable classics in my view and 'I Am...' is no different. From start to finish, this album rarely has a weak moment, all the collaborations are ill from the defiant tone of 'Hate Me Now' to the chilling 'You Wont See Me Tonight' (R.I.P. Aaliyah) this album encompasses the skill of Nas (often taken for granted). Crushing beats fused with lyrical depth sees Nas cover a range of topics and emotions whilst staying faithful to his roots ('Ghetto Prisoners') and asserting his undeniable supremecy ('Nas-is-Like'). 'Small World' and 'Life Is What You Make It' displays Nas' unconquerable lyrical genius in its purest form, a sound repeated in 'Life We Chose'. Nas isn't only a rapper he's a poet and it is vital that he is rediscovered in every age. Nas is to rap what Shakespeare is to literature; timeless, universal and irreplacable. 'I am...' is a classic; anyone who denies this is either mad or has a problem with the essential fabric of hip-hop. One love to Ya'll.
Free Music Review: Open Your Eyes...Don't Give in to the Peer Pressure Hit: 5 Stars
I Am is the best rap album of all time. Many people have defiantly declared that Illmatic is by far Nas' greatest album. I have listened to Illmatic over and over because it was hyped up so much. Therefore, I wanted to see for myself. From this experience, I learned not to believe anyone else's opinion until you become exposed to it yourself. Illmatic has nice lyrical content, but those nine songs do not compare to I am's fifteen showstoppers. Plus, in I Am Nas speaks about politics, fallen soldiers, and teaches life lessons like "Like is What You Make It", don't change because of enemies("Hate Me Now"), and to be careful what you do because it comes back to you("Small World"). Illmatic does not address all of these subjects. Also, the beats also do not compare to I Am. Several souls are pressured to say that Illmatic is Nas' greatest album because of what other people feel. Follow your heart. People say that Nas crossed over with this album. So what! Those songs are still hot. What's wrong with having someone sing on the hook? In many instances, crossing over may increase the quality of the song.
Listen to both of these albums back to back. If you still believe that Illmatic is the greatest, hit me back to tell me why.
OPEN YOUR EYES! DON'T GIVE IN TO THE PEER PRESSURE! ALSO, KEEP YOUR MIND ON GOD! GOD BLESS!
Free Music Review: "I am" is a classic for the new millenieum!! Hit: 5 Stars
This new one from nas is very hot. It's better than his last album overall in production and beats even though his last one had some banging jams. He tells about everything this time from project life to girls to hustling to playa hating and more. The hate me now track is good and I think puff helped it a lot cause a lot of people hate him now that he's big and it's almost the same for nas. The one track that I think is phat is "Money is my b@#$h" Just because of the way he talked about money using it like a metaphor. That was cool. "We will survive" , "Not tonight", "Nas is like", and "Favor for a Favor" are some of the best jams on this album. The strings and back ground sound is just tight on "Favor for a favor" where he's asking the president and governors to talk to him and take a look at what's happening.(deep stuff) Overall I think this is one rap album you should buy if any this year because as far as lyrics and beats, they won't come any better than this except for maybe a few. (jay-z, fugees, tribe, biggie, 2pac, busta) Don't listen to people comparing this to illmatic, judge for yourself cause illmatic might not work for you like it did for someone else.GET IT!!!

Free Music Review: His 3rd Best Album Hit: 5 Stars
I AM is an out standing album.Nas probably had some commercial songs on here but he stays on point. The "INTRO" was very nice.I really liked the tribute from his last albums."N.Y.State of mind 2" is better than the first one to me."Hate Me Know" is a powerful song and it was the first single."Small World" was a deep story."Favor For A Favor" is the my favorite song with a guest apperance."We Will Survive" is a deep track dedications to B.I.G. and 2Pac."ghetto Prisoners" has a nice beat but sort of skippable."You Won't See Me Tonight" is commericial and skippable."I Want To Talk To You" is political and has some great lyrics."Dr.Knock Boot" is creative and has some funny storys and rules about sex."Life Is What You Make It" is very hoy with a grimey beat."Big Things" is O.K. nas delivers some nice lyrics about doing big things instead doing nonthin on street corners."Nas Is Like" is my favorite track hands down. The beat is so nice and nas's rhymes are tough(one of my favorite nas song of all time)."KISSING" is has a nice vibe about being with a women."Money is My B***h" is hot with an island beat."Undying Love" is a deep track and a nice song to close the album. This was better than nastradamus and illmatic.Cop this one
