This debut LP by Nas is a must-have for all true hip hop fans. It's been out since '94 and I'm still blasting my "Illmatic" tape in '98. This album catches the true essence of rap. Nas, like other rappers during this time, made Illmatic for the love of hip hop and didn't focus on the money. My man kept it real. Illmatic is truly a classic rap album.
