Free Music Notes for Pocketful of Sunshine

Free Music Review: Great summer cd, released in winter
Hit: 5 Stars

While many young pop starlets today are living self-destructive lives evident in their art, UK sensation Natasha Bedingfield has the voice and character that one can be proud to endorse. She combines her "girl next door" persona with her multi-faceted musical acumen to produce this wonderfully upbeat masterpiece. From the opening seconds of the first track, "Put Your Arms Around Me," it is clear to all that Pocketful of Sunshine is gonna be a hit album and that Natasha Bedingfield is an international musical force to be reckoned with for a LONG time coming.

Though her smash hit single "Love Like This" is a bit repetitive, the beat and hook are UNDENIABLY and pleasantly contagious. My favorite songs on the album are "Put Your Arms Around Me," "Angel," and "Freckles." Also, "Say It Again" is a dessert to your eardrums; though, admittedly, I prefer her live acoustic performance of it over the track on the cd.

Free Music Review: "To swim in shallow victory is empty, empty..."
Hit: 5 Stars

Pocketful of Sunshine by Natasha Bedingfield is pretty flawless for a sophomore album. Bedingfield's vocals have only gotten stronger after her equally as good debut, Unwritten. I just love her voice, she sings her heart out on songs like Happy and the title track. The track I cannot get enough of is Backyard, "your lasso, my tiara/my wand, your plastic bazooka/why can't we be how we were in the backyard?/your cowboy hat, my tutu/you hide and seek, I catch you..." Other standout tracks include: Pirate Bones (great piano beat), Soulmate, Freckles (deals with accepting insecurities and imperfections), Angel, Who Knows, and Not Givin' Up on which she sounds a little bit like Kelly Clarkson. Natasha Bedingfield is an amazing artist, can't wait for her third album because she's that good! I highly recommend this sunny and refreshing cd, enjoy!

Free Music Review: One of the Best
Hit: 5 Stars

I purchased this album over the weekend and I absolutely love it. I love Natasha Bedingfield's music but I didn't know she had a new album out, so when I saw it I just had to get it. Impulsive worked because I love it. My favorite songs on the album is Pocketful of Sunshine, Backyard, Soulmate. Of course the other songs are terrific too. The only song I can say I don't like is Freckles. She has made better and I don't think many people including International listeners would like this. It is routine for her to make two albums: one for American listeners and one for International listeners. I heard the International version about a year ago and loved it but I didn't see one coming for American release so I assumed it was just for them. I think she is great and should be praised by everyone.

Free Music Review: Just A Pocketful of Sunshine
Hit: 5 Stars

"I gotta pocket, gotta pocketful of sunshine" That is the beginning to the title track of Natasha Bedingfield's 2nd album. The album itself really is a pocketful of sunshine. The vibrant, poppy tone that is mixed with a good message is part of what makes Ms. Bedingfield's music so enjoyable. The opening track "Put Your Arms Around Me" shows that the album is going to be good. With all of the songs mixed together, it is evident that Natasha didn't hit the "sophomore slump." However, each song is different. A different beat, almost a different genre. Each song manages to tell a story in a new, wonderful way. Whether it is the jazzy tone of "Peace of Your Heart" or the reggae-like beat of "Love Like This" the album puts you in a great mood.

Free Music Review: More than a Pocketful
Hit: 5 Stars

This is the latest album release from Natasha Bedingfield and I am glad it saw the light of day here in the U.S. "Pocketful Of Sunshine" was worth the wait and the purchase, it is smooth from beginning to end, there are no out of place tracks on here, all mesh together and form a listening experience that takes you through the highs and lows of Natasha Bedingfield's mind, I never once felt the need to push the forward button with this album. She has great lyrics, and freshness that is welcome, the standout tracks were "Pocketful Of Sunshine", "Love Like This" (of course), Angel, Freckles, Happy. If you buy this album, you won't be disappointed, it is definitely more than just a pocketful.
