Free Music Notes for Home Before DarkFree Music Review: A Diamond in the Rough Hit: 4 StarsNeil Diamond again proves he is a superb singer-songwriter, a combination I love. Though produced by the same person as his "12 Songs" album, this has a totally different feel, not as playful. The songs reveal much about how Neil Diamond now looks at love and life, which is totally different from his early albums. Songs such as "Pretty Amazing Grace" and "Forgotten" demonstrate his timeliness as a performer.
Free Music Review: Sounds like Vintage Diamond Hit: 5 StarsI have thoroughly enjoyed this album, have it on my short "play often" stack. I think it sounds much better than the albums he recorded in the last decade. It has more of the sounds of "forever in bluejeans", "cracklin Rosie" and those early Diamond hits. His duet with Natalie Mains is very good also, one forgets the age gap between the two.
Free Music Review: Classic Hit: 4 StarsAfter seeing Neil live in January 2009 and hearing several of the songs from this CD, I had to have it. I am not disappointed. His voice has not changed, only his style. The lyrics are thought provoking and the melodies stay with you. True and new Neil Damond fans will appreciate this one.
Free Music Review: Neil Diamond Hit: 5 StarsAnother Cd to add to my sister's collection. Neil Diamond is my sister's Favorite Entertainer.
Free Music Review: Neil Diamond's Home Before Dark CD Hit: 5 StarsDiamond's voice and quality of music remains as powerful as ever. In fact his range and style is grown and yet stay true to who he is. At the core much of the music also touches a spiritual "chord" and touches my soul which is why I have always been a fan. Highly recommend this CD for a Neil Diamond fan or for anyone who wants to get to know him as well.Cheryl from Colorado
