Neil Finn on studio records is always different, musically interesting and dramatic. Live, however, he is a revelation. His voice is so pure and clean and his music jumps to new heights. This live collection is but another example of Finn's wide-range of styles and tastes. There is an outstanding version of the Smith's "There is a Light" with Johnnie Marr on guitar. Finn and Marr's version is glorious. "Anytime, which is more sedate on "One Nil", is a rocking reflection on mortality and another great song. There is a wonderful variety to the song selection from the Enz "Take a Walk", with Eddie Vedder on vocals, to the Finn Brothers' "Paradise" and Angel's Heap". Each song, played by a variety of talented musicians, with Finn at the center, seems to be cherished as a celebration of a truly great songwriter. The musicians certainly recognize the talent of Mr. Finn, it's time for many others to the same.
