Free Music Review: Why is everybody complaining?
Hit: 4 Stars

everyone i know or don't says this album sucks and is deffinately not Young's best, but i don't know what everyone's complaining about. This album retains the same song writing quality as any Young album, if anything it's great exploration into things lost and things to come. Yes, i'd rather here him with his acoustic guitar or crazy horse but it shouldn't matter what style of music you use but the actual songs.

Free Music Review: NY's most under-rated album
Hit: 4 Stars

I recon that if this album were recorded with accousting instruments, it would get rave reviews. I enjoy listening to it, which is more than can be said about what are really his worst albums: Hawks and Doves and that one with Willie Nelson on it from around the same time.

Free Music Review: If you can handel synths, you can handle this
Hit: 3 Stars

I hated this album when I first heard it, due in large part to the fact that "Weight of the World," the opening track, is perhaps the worst cut on the album. However, I have to agree with the reviewer who said this album has a charm. It's a weirded out charm, but for me, it's there. It's not Neil's best, but the songwriting showcases his ability to write simple catchy songs. "Violent Side" is amazing, especially the coda. Check out "Bad News Beat" with headphones, the synths really make sense. And the lyrics and structure of "Hard Luck Stories" are successful. Really, I think this album would appeal more to non-Neil fans than the hardcore Crazyhorse freaks out there. If you like Kraftwerk, if you like (or have a soft-spot for) Invisible Touch-era Genesis, then this might just be a discovery for you. For Neil fans who want to see the whole picture of his output, then this is a unique and challenging, though admittedly minor, piece to the puzzle.

Free Music Review: There's some good stuff there amongst the bad
Hit: 3 Stars

It's easy to see why this is one of Neil's least popular albums. When I first played it, it made me truly cringe as I recalled those awful synthesizer-filled 80s songs.

However, amongst the dreadful songs (such as "Hippie Dream" and "People On The Street"), there are some good rockers that you may instantly enjoy (eg "Touch The Night") and songs with subtly good guitar solos that hide under the synths.

Other songs I like are "Violent Side", "Bad news Beat" and "Hard Luck Stories".

Despite my positive feelings towards some songs, I still wouldn't play it really loud.

Free Music Review: a minor record
Hit: 3 Stars

Reviewers are confronted opinions about this album. I would adopt a intermediate position. Is not so bad like Trans but is far from the best Young's records.
If we take in account that Young has made records like Harvest, Rust never sleeps, Ragged Glory, Zuma, Sleep with angels or, maybe, Prairie Wind this is a minor record
