Free Music Review: Sugar Mountain? Sweet!
Hit: 5 Stars

This is a wonderful CD even if you weren't born in 1968. My wife and I fell in love listening to these tunes on a juke box (no kidding!) in 1968. To have the whole CD reissued is wonderful. It is amazing how sophisticated and how professional this is given the technology and circumstances of the original recording. Neil Young fan? buy it. Know Neil Young's later music? buy it. Never heard of Neil Young? buy it. Fall in love.

Free Music Review: Beautiful
Hit: 5 Stars

This is the very reason I become a raving Neil Young fan some 40 years ago. All the beauty and wistfulness is right there, clearly displaying the bridge between "I Am A Child" and "The Loner".

I'm not sorry about the format...there's plenty of music here and I'd like to be able to preview the massive archive set before I plop down that chunk of change.

This is everything I'd hoped for.

Thanks (again), Neil.

Free Music Review: Agreed
Hit: 5 Stars

I have not bought the package yet but will agree with the previous reviewer before I even heard/seen the release. I have been burned a couple of times on the "DVD" "disc #2"...One of them was a Genesis CD/DVD that was the same way. Complete BS!! False advertising...Well anyway, Neil is a god and this CD has to be great like you siad I can't wait to hear it. Just the fact that it has "Out of My Mind" on there is worth the entire price!!!!

Free Music Review: Excellent
Hit: 5 Stars

Excellent glimpse of a nice acoustic set. On the Way Home is a highlight for me. I like Neil's acoustic version much better than the Buffalo Springfield album cut. That this version hasn't been widely available until fairly recently is a crime!

Overall I much prefer Neil's songs stripped of the nonsense that happens in the studio. And his between song banter adds to the vibe. Nice release!

Free Music Review: Solid release from the Archives
Hit: 5 Stars

Pleasantly surprising look at Young at the very beginning of his solo careeer featuring a unusually talkative Neil, telling stories, engaging the audience. The audio is better than I expected, as it was recorded over 40 years ago, and showed Neil maturing as a songwriter and coming into his own as a performer. Solid entry in the Neil Young Archives series...
