Free Music Review: Nelly Is 2nd to none
Hit: 5 Stars

when i first opened up the country grammer cd i had no doubt in my boy. Nelly was on the fast track into making it big, he also was bringing his freinds along which was cool of him. At the time of Nelly's first appereance to the charts, Marshal Mathers was out and crackin', but he topped him too. the song, "country grammer" was nothin' but the best and so was the rest of his cd. I was just lovin' the way he wasn't like everybody else he defintly had his own sense of style which attracks me to him. Also, he wasn't into talikng about sex, money and cash like everybody else. Instead he talked about being broke and having to make it through in life which is what the magority of people were and still are going through. His lyrics defintly related to everyone and people were defintly feelin' what he was saying becase he was all real.Nelly i love you, you is so bomb and keep doin' what you doin' because we're all lovin' it -gone-

Free Music Review: Pretty cool

This is Nelly's best CD. Awesome beats, nice lyrics, awesome songs like E.I., Country Grammar, Ride wit me. I think if you don't have this, you should add it to your CD collection.

Free Music Review: Before everyone started to hate
Hit: 4 Stars

Nelly has become the butt of many hip hop jokes, when in reality he is not that bad. His first hit "Country Grammar" put him on the map with his debut album. The album churned out hits that eventually became destroyed by the radio (can't fault him for that) and now Nelly has become a household name. The production really hits hard (literally) with many bassy songs. "St. Louie, Greed Hate Envy, Country Grammar, and E.I. all pound the bass authority and make for some great tracks. Many of these tracks are strictly for the clubs ("For My N*ggas", Ride wit me, etc.). "Batter Up" is sort of a funny feel good song that takes the sample from the Jefferson's theme (I could be wrong, I'm not sure if it was the Jeffersons but I know it was a tv theme sample) and makes for a good song. Batter Up also features the St. Lunatics. The filler is few and far between, songs like "utha side" and tho dem wrappas could have been easily cut out, but they do not retract from the album's replay value. Cedric the Entertainer drops in for the intro which is pointless, but funny at the same time. While Nelly is spitting his lifestyle as it was in St. Louis, his production team is providing him with the hard-hitting bass beats that I thought would have continued in Nellyville, which isn't as good as country grammar. All in all, add to the collection, you won't be disappointed.

Free Music Review: That mane out the frame...quit hating.
Hit: 5 Stars

Hey I gotta' admit, when I first heard this joint, I thought it was totally wack besides the radio songs which were Country Grammer, and E.I. But I continued to listen to it and once I got passed some of the wack ass beats and began to listen to what he was saying, I thought, this boy can really flow. And you can say what you want about this mane, but he came in the game with a vision of what he wanted to do and now he just watching it come true. He got my vote. Do ya' thing Nelly....walk over the haters.
