Free Music Review: Amazing, fantastic, awesome, need I say more?

I was not expecting this. Not expecting something this good, is what I mean. I've been a big fan since the Newsboys' previous release of "Adoration", and I thought you could never find anything better. By now, my opinions have completely changed. This album, I think, is way more heartfelt than the others, more worshipful, more surrounding, and more mature. The lyrics are wonderfully written, I can tell they put a lot of heart into writing them.
"Devotion" makes a great opening song, and it should give you a good impression on the album. I love the heavy guitar, and the tune.
"I Love Your Ways" is a bit different from most of the songs, but in a good way. The beat is very different, and I like it A LOT. It's very creative, and well written.
"Presence (My Hearts Desire)" was the first song off this album to become a hit (it was released to radio a few months before the album came out), and it turned out to be a pretty big one. It seems to carry some sound from "You Are My King (Amazing Love)", which was from Adoration. I love the part where they're repeating "I wanna feel your presence, I wanna feel your presence".
"Strong Tower" is one of the latest songs off this album to make a hit. It's doing very well, too. It has very memorable lyrics. It didn't turn out to be my very favorite off the whole album, but overall I did like it a lot.
"God Of All Nations" is another memorable one. It has a great intro, and a great chorus. It's another song that's showing how mature the band has made their music.
"Blessed Be Your Name" is amazing, although I feel Rebecca St. James seemed to take up to much space, vocally. I do like her, but, I kind of hate to say that I wish they didn't record this song with her on the album. I didn't mind them singing it with her live on the Adoration tour, but in this studio recording, I could barely even hear the vocals of Peter, Phil, and Bryan, and Rebecca's were just going over their vocals. Otherwise, I loved this song and it was amazing.
"The Orphan" is one of my three favorite songs on the album. It's indescribably beautiful. I love the guitar, and the piano. Peter's vocals always sound very wonderful, but in this song, they sounded especially sweet, and gentile. You're going to love this song, no matter what.
"Landslide Of Love" is also one of my three favorite songs on the album. It's one of the most memorable. The overall sound of it is very sweet and happy. The lyrics are great. It's a very outstanding song, I've always loved it.
"Name Above All Names" should surely come to your liking. It's another memorable one. It has great guitar licks, and great tune. I like it a lot!
"When The Tears Fall" is my most favorite out of my three favorites. The Newsboys have always known how to end their albums right, and this is the best end they've ever put to an album. It's almost impossible to say how amazing this song is. Every time I hear it, I begin to cry. There has never been a song that has really "gotten me" like this one. It just really touched some parts of me that haven't really been touched before. This song is going to be loved by all, I know that for sure. It's also surely going to bring some tears of praise. This is absolutely the best song the Newsboys have done in their entire history of recording.
I highly recommend this album. Some die-hard fans of "Adoration" might not be to pleased and may think it is less creative and less unique, but I'm one of the people that got seriously touched by it. There's no doubt that the members have grown so much, musically and spiritually. I'm very proud of them, and happy for them.
