My wife and I have used these for Christmas gifts this year. We are ordering more to give away. I think it shows the freedom that comes from knowing the grace of God in your life and the fun that comes with being the person you are free to be. With their variety of songs there is a song and a message in there for anyone. It's probably 4 1/2, but I'll round up. I haven't listened to the CD straight through, so I'm really reviewing the DVD, which I loved. I can't comment on their missing bassist or the guitar skills of Paul Colman, since I'm more of a casual fan, but I really enjoyed watching them in concert. My only distraction (moving it down half a star) was the lip-synched portions, which, while it may have been a "necessity," takes away from the whole "Live" idea.... Highlights for me:
--gotta love "Shine" right up front--saves me from asking later;
--"Something Beautiful" is a frighteningly contagious song;
--awesome performance of "Blessed Be Your Name"--great job slowing it down and really bringing the crowd into it;
--I loved the "B Stage Medley" and Peter's historical account of the group
--the "Drum Solo" was unbelievable! Maybe everybody does this in concert, but I somehow doubt it....
My kids loved this DVD, both the four-year-old twins and my eight-year-old daughter, who sangs the songs obsessively over the next week after our initial viewing. You have to appreciate their honest and forthright presentation of God's love, our bond in Christ, and the Gospel message. It was a great show for me, not having another to compare it with. It made me go out and get their R&R Hall of Fame concert!

This is an unbelievable live concert. I was able to watch the actual concert three separate times while the Newsboys were on tour, and this Cd/DVD combo enables me to relieve some of that original excitement of one of my favorite tours of all time. The sound quality on these tracks is flawless. I highly recommend this to anyone who is a fan of the Newsboys or just of good music, you will not be disappointed.
