I love the style of the newsboys because they have a "rock" sound but you can actually understand the words! I love to sing along with CDs and when I try to sing along to other groups songs I can't understand what they are saying! My ratings for each song are:Giving it over-4 1/2 out of 5 It's a really good opening song.

Overall this is a good cd. I wish there were a couple more songs though. It seemed too short to me. Other than that... I would definatly recommed it.

Newsboys are consistently the best band in the world! I don't say this lightly. Since their "Going Public" album, they have continued to have a profound impact on their peers, mentors, audience and competitors (both secular and Christian). Thrive has a fresh, new sound that is very different to anything they've done before. Guitars and drums are working harder than ever and the quality of production is astonishing. One thing that stays the same is the way their tunes keep spinning around in your brain as soon as you turn the sound system off. "It is you" immediately got my attention. The other songs have taken a bit longer to grow on me. "John Woo" and "Rescue" take off after a few listens. As a whole, I'd say this album is going to be an all time favourite of mine. Just can't seem to tire of it. They really are in a league of their own. Thanks Newsboys!!!Free Music Review: best cd ever period!!!it rox!!!

I love this cd!!!!! i bought it like to weeks ago(i think. i have like no concept of time) and it hasn't left my cd player since. dude this cd is awsome!!! all the songs on this rock but i especially love "cornelius" ,"live in stereo" ,"thrive", and "million pieces" "john woo" is strange but i love it anyway. this is like my first n-boys cd and i'm going to buy all of their other ones. I am seriosly like addicted to this cd i think i would like go through withdrawl or somehting if i quit listening to it. any way its a great christian cd. i recomend it if you like audio a (my fave band before thrive) jars of clay (another great band check out if i left the zoo) or music in general. so what are sitting around for? go pick it up on your way home from whatever and then listen to it again and again and again and again...... enjoy

This has got to be one of the best Newsboys albums I have ever had (and I own about 8 of them). I purchased the CD right from the release date and I still have it on all the time!!! It's one of those albums you just don't get sick of!!! The Newsboys always manage to produce something unique each time!! With traditional Newsboys sound for songs like "Rescue" and "Cornelius" to completely new styles in songs like "John Woo" and "Million Pieces" they manage to cover a little something for everyone. You can't leave out those songs that they create that just hit you like a rock!! On this album those songs are "Lord" and "Thrive" which show that they know their roots and they are not afraid to show it!! And to start it all off they rip right into it with "Giving It Over". This entire album will speak to each person in such a unique way!Free Music Review: Thrive deserves 6 stars

One word: WOW. Even though the Newsboys have already racked up a very impressive collection of albums, Thrive blows them all out of the water. This album bristles with energy from start to finish, even on slower tracks, and contains, bar-none, some of the catchiest hooks and most unique lyrics you'll ever hear.Surprisingly, the very best songs (though they're all good) have yet to reach radio. Songs like "Live In Stereo", "The Fad Of The Land", and "Cornelius" easily rank up there with the 'Boys most popular all-time songs. Meanwhile, the rocking "Giving It Over", with its killer intro, is the perfect album opener while "Thrive" makes a powerful plea to God to help us grow in the midst of hardship.
