Free Music Notes for Now Or Never

Free Music Review: Now or Never rocks (in every way)
Hit: 5 Stars

Who said that Nick's all pop? Probably those who also said that pop and rock don't go together. Well, with a more edgier sound, Carter proved them wrong with his solo debut album "Now or Never". He was able to find the perfect harmony between those two types of music. We can find in his album songs that show his rock influences, like in "Girls Of The USA", but we still have those soft, romantic ones, like "I Got You" and "Who Needs The World". The album shows the growth that Carter had with almost a decade together with the "Boys", where he experienced new sounds and styles, (Miss America), and his writing skills, that turned out to be fantastic. Nick discovered that he can sing in ways that he never did before, and that turned out to be a huge benefit for him. He lets go all that he has been holding inside with "I Stand For You" and shows another side of him with "Scandalicious", both written by him. He was more involved with this album than ever before, and now we can say, with no doubt, that Nick Carter has become a complete artist. He plays the guitar and drums, writes amazing and inspiring songs, and can sing any type of song..... what else can a artist do? Name it and Nick will do it, and he will do it well. So now, rock, and pop fans, have the opportunity to have an album that is changing the way that critics look at "BoyBands" singers.

Free Music Review: What an awesome album!
Hit: 5 Stars

I got this Cd as soon as it came out & its only left my Cd player so I could play it to my friends. Its mix of rock, ballads and up-tempo tracks is a blend I haven't tired of listening to. If you're expecting another Backstreet sounding Cd you're in for a surprise. He's shed the boy band sound and gone for something a lot more edgy - and it really works! His voice suits every track perfectly. Its not full out rock but some of the rock influences in him are apparent in a number of the tracks. There's a lot of old style 80's music in there, with a lot of Bryan Adams coming through as well. His vocal talent is put to the test in a lot of the tracks and he's pulled it off flawlessly. He really sings his heart out in every song and you can really tell that this album is something he's wanted to do for a long time.
My personal faves? Hard to chose but if forced to make a decision they are;
'I Stand For You' - A real up-beat rocky, fun kinda track based around the ideas of freedom to do whatever you want and having a good time. Probably my favourite track on the album, and ...
'Who Needs The World' - A simple but really beautiful ballad where Nick really gets to show off the range in his voice. Sure to have all the girls goin ga-ga!
Overall - an incredible album by an incredibly talented guy. What more could you ask for??!!

Free Music Review: It's definately NOW!
Hit: 5 Stars

Now or Never is an excellent solo debut from Nick Carter. His heartfelt lyrics, and carefree persona help to make this album as excellent as it is.

"Help Me" talks about how he doesn't want to do with his life, which direction to go in. He's confused about his life, and that's a thing that many people can relate to. It's an excellent song with a great vocals, and excellent beat.

"My Confession" which was penned by Nick himself, is an excellent catchy song. He's a crooner, and ladies, you'll want to be his confession after listening to this song! Great job writing on it Nick.

"I Stand For You" truly shows Nick Carter's persona. Carefree. He doesn't care what anyone thinks about him, he just wanted to make some good music for everyone to listen to. You can't help but bob your head a little to this song. "I Stand For You" is youthful. Truly excellent.

"Do I Have To Cry For You" is reminiscent of Bryan Adams. Nick wrote this song himself, and it's an extrodinary ballad. This is probably one of the most powerful songs on the album.

That's a taste of some of the songs, you won't be making a mistake if you purchase this album. You might be afraid if you weren't a fan of his group, The Backstreet Boys, but his sound is different. He made an improvement for the better.

Purchase this album, if you don't, you'll regret it.

Free Music Review: Eat Your Heart Out Justin!
Hit: 5 Stars

I have been a huge NSync fan for years so I could hardly wait to hear Justin Timberlake's first solo CD and I was sure it would be awesome- boy, was I wrong! I was so disappointed. Even though I had always thought Nick Carter was very talented{along with the other Boys},I had never even put him in the same arena with Justin- until Now Or Never. This is absolutely one of the best CDs I've ever bought! I own close to 400 CDs, so that's saying a lot! Justified can't hold a candle to Now Or Never. I was hooked the first time I heard it. I love all 12 songs. My very favorites are Help Me, Do I Have To Cry For You, Girls In The USA, Blow Your Mind, I Just Wanna Take You Home, and Heart Without A Home. Some of the songs are a reminder of great veteren artists. Girls In The USA, for example, kinda reminds me of Bon Jovi, and Do I Have To Cry For You is eerily Bryan Adams-like. I had heard that the great producer, and hubby of my favorite female artist Shania Twain, Mutt Lange was going to contribute his producing and writing skills to Nick's CD. I was surprised to see that he didn't. This is a great piece of art and Nick's vocals don't start to annoy me a couple songs into the thing- JUSTIN! Anyhow, Nick proves that he isn't some cookie-cutter teeny bopper and that he can stand alone. Now Or Never definitely deserves five stars. BUY IT!!!!!!!!

Free Music Review: "Now or Never"
Hit: 5 Stars

When I bought myself a copy of Nick Carter's solo debut album, "Now or Never," I just knew it was going to be great. Being a Backstreet Boys fan for almost 7 years, their music has always been there for me to relate. Nick's cd does that for me also. "Help Me" is such a great song that can just break barriers as also for "I Got You" & "I Stand For You." The CD in itself is more rock influenced with a mixture of some soft nice beats for his ballads. I can totally relate to "Do I Have To Cry For You," everyone has the similar situation. Overall, the CD is one of kind and Nick's lyrics are just so real. No one should down play his writing efforts because sometimes it is hard to write that "perfect song" even if you're the best singer or songwriter.
Everything falls into place. It was the right time for Nick to venture out into a solo career. I fully back him up and I will always support him and what he does. This album does not deserve any bashing or negative comments whatsoever. "Now or Never" is a brilliant CD that features music of explorative genres and these songs are such that powerful as he is to us fans. I have already listened to the album 5 times through, because it's just so great. I would recommend anyone who listens to BSB or you don't even have to, to just give Nick a chance. He just might surprise you!
