Free Music Review: For the "must have it all!" Nick Drake fan.
Hit: 5 Stars

As I have been hooked on Nick Drake's music since the early 80-es I have bought it first on LP's and again on CD's, but I had never even hoped to get my hands on some stuff I never heard before. So, this was a nice surprice. It contains unique early stuff and some private recordings as well as alternate takes of previously released music. The sound quality varies but the voice and guitar is there in all its magic. In addition there is a nice booklet in which his sister and friend tell their memories of Nick. Again, it is not a "forth album", it is a collection of odd material, but if you, like me, cannot get enough of Nick Drake music I really recommend this one.

Free Music Review: It's like listening Nick playing in your living room
Hit: 5 Stars

This album has been a pleasant surprise. I knew it was a Lo-Fi recording when I purchased it, but the sound and general quality is much better than what I thought. For Nick Drake's fans, this is a must have. The traditional tunes included in this album blend so well with Drake's own music that it seems they were written by him. The song "My Baby's So Sweet" is probably my favorite of those. Drake's "Blossom" is a great tune that should have been included in his three released albums. In summary, although for some Drake's music sounds a bit depressing, this albums is a relax pill. I put it on, and just want to chill out and transport myself to peace.

Free Music Review: Some of Nick's best!
Hit: 5 Stars

Having been a Nick Drake fan since the mid-70s, I can say that this fascinating, heartbreaking release is a must-have for any serious fan of Nick's. The songs all pre-date Nick's first album, the sound quality is of a home recording-- but it's all great. As another reviewer said, it's like having Nick in your living room just performing some songs one after the other--just him and a guitar. (In some cases his mother performs, or he does a duet with his sister.) This is a truly beautiful CD, and kudos go to Nick's sister Gabrielle for releasing it. Thank you, Gabrielle!

Free Music Review: someone left the cassette recorder on

And boy , am I glad they did. VERY primitive recordings that do not detract one iota from the performances. If you looked up this undiscovered gem , you know what you'll get from Nick Drake recordings. Thanks to the powers that be that put this out.

Free Music Review: A must have for Nick Drake fans

Love it, it's at the top of my play list and has been since I got it. It feels like an intimate moment with Nick and his Mother. There is nothing on this CD I want to skip.
