Free Music Review: good music, terrible mastering

I enjoy the songs quite a bit, but sadly to say I am going to throw this CD away. The mastering is terrible..almost every beat of every song seems to be clipping...loundess wars strike again. This album sounds better over the radio than on headphones with a real system...not the way it should be. release an album that is produced better and i'll buy it. but no thanks for this album.Free Music Review: definitely the sound of rockstars

This album is so good that its honestly challenging of me to think of which ones are my favorites. This album will grow on you each listen. My husband got this album for me as a birthday gift and I am glad that he did. The reason being is that I really thought all of the songs on the cd are great. However my top five favorite songs on this cd are "animals", "if everyone cared", "rockstar", "saving me" and "follow you home". The thing that I like most about this cd is that it is an all purpose cd in the fact that you can listen to it in multiple occasions. I have listened to it on my way to and from work, when I go for walks outside, at work, and at home. The best thing about this cd is there are is going to a song for everyone that is on this album.Free Music Review: A Band that Belongs in the Spotlight

Nickelback achieved commercial success with their release of Silver Side Up years ago, but then maybe lost things a bit with their follow up album The Long Road. So now they're back. The album opens with "Follow You Home" and it's heavy and strong and it sounds like singer Chad Kroeger is angry and mad at the world. It gives you the vibe that the band is trying to make a point with their last album not doing so well and want to come back with a vengeance.
The album continues in the same vein with the second track "Fight For All The Wrong Reasons", with heavy guitars and strong vocals. Then the album moves to a more commercial rock vibe. The songs have the catchy choruses, big backing vocals and typical power chords. This album is definitely better than the band's last effort and the closer "Rock Star" I liked very much and can hear it as a single. Hopefully this album will bring Nickelback back into the spotlight, right where they belong.
