Ok, I seriously...no, seriously LOVE Nickelback!! They are my all time favorite band. I don't think there's one song that I don't like from this group...now that's a HUGE fan! I love this album so much, one of my favorites. I know a lot of people think their new album is too raunchy but they've come a long way and their intitled to take their music to a whole new level if thats what they want, and I personally think they did awesome. Yeah theres sex, drugs, and whatever else you can name but face facts thats what lifes about anymore, they just had the stones to sing about it. Some of us maybe in denile about all of this stuff and try to keep it away from their children but those children are the ones who are the most curious about it...even though they may not tell you. And its not like their little boys, there are far worse groups out there than this band. If you don't like their music...don't listen to it, and if you do...burn it up!

You should buy this CD! This is a must buy for all...First of all this isnt your everday rock CD...this is,from the opening track, Something in your Mouth...till the last one..This Afternoon..a musical adventure!
This offering from the men hailing from Canada is amazing...Great lyrics trembling guitar rifts...awesome lead vocals..haunting background vocals..Thunderous drum beats..intermixed keyboards...it's got it all
ballads and pump your fist rockers..It's fun yet serious..It does what music is supposed to do...get in your Pysche..let you latch on the coattails of somebody who's talented enough to put it all out there and let us ride along as they take us on a musical journey...Just don't judge this CD based on there last CD..judge it on it's own..So buy it,put in on and hold the heck on!

It seems Nickelback just keeps getting better. While I wear one cd out listening too it I still can't wait to see what they are going to do next. Some people think they are dirty for speaking of sex, but I dont think so. If you could just be a fly on the wall in most of your public schools today you hear alot worse than this. Nickelback has kept their rock standing and still beat out power ballads that will almost break your heart. This album was endearing to me, mainly because it addresses the drug issue that has arisen. I have lost several friends and family because drugs have taken hold of their lives and they live to get high. It makes you angry and sad all at the same time, I think they captured these emotions well. All in all this is a great album, and I cant wait for the next one.Free Music Review: love it!

I tend to prefer the milder side of Nickelback and avoid the harder, edgier songs. I thought this album had a good mix of ballads, just plain fun songs, and the hardcore/traditional Nickelback that old fans seem to prefer. I don't listen to a lot of music in this realm, but this album has enough to make me feel it's worthwhile. I can avoid the songs I don't like and still have enough to entertain me. It's definitely worth trying out. I think even those who wouldn't usually consider listening to a group like Nickelback would find something here to satisfy them.
I've bought CD's in my usual realm of music choice (much milder rock and country) with less to like on them than Dark Horse. Nickelback isn't my usual pick for music choice, but this CD I like...a lot.

First of all, this cd does not fall in the "pop" genre. It is pure head banging, edgy, rock and roll. "Dark Horse" is yet another flawless album released by Nickelback. This is their best album to date, even though "All The Right Reasons" comes in a close second. With the exceptions of "Gotta Be Somebody", "Never Gonna Be Alone" and "I'd Come For You"; which are all beautiful ballads, everything else is pure hard rock. "Dark Horse" has a simple formula: Sex ("Something In Your Mouth", "Next Go Round", "Shakin' Hands", "S.E.X"), Drugs ("Just To Get High") and Rock n'Roll ("Burn It To The Ground", "If Today Was Your Last Day", "This Afternoon"). This album is exceptional and it caters to both new and old Nickelback fans. I recommend this cd; every song is a perfect ten.
