Free Music Review: Sterile passionless playing

I am seriously baffled why the Blomstedt SF recording of Nielsen's 3rd symphony gets such good reviews and is nearly always recommended as the best modern recording. I listened to it recently and the phrasing is rushed with no passion at all like they are playing on autopilot.It's sterile playing,technically good,but so what! Where is the passion and feeling? I urge readers of this to listen to either Chung on Bis or Schonwandt on Dacapo. Just listen to the latter's authentic Danish characterful wind playing! Chung also has real passion for the music and the Gothenburg playing is wonderful with real fire but also the passion. The later Jarvi recording on DG with Gothenburg is not as good and is a bit tepid-though much better than Blomstedt.
Samples of Chung or Schonwandt can be found on Amazon.com-short but give you an idea what I mean.A short listen to the opening will show what I mean. I have decided to use the Blomstedt recording as a tablemat it is just so sub-standard.
