Free Music Review: I want to like it, but...

Night Ranger was the first concert I went to and I've enjoyed their music for over 20 years. I was glad to see them coming out with a new studio recording and had high hopes. I just think they could've done so much better than this. I've listened to it a few times, trying to see if it grows on me, but it just leaves me disappointed. There are a few good songs but, overall, it seems like their best days are behind them. I hate to say that, because they're a great live group (I saw them a couple of years ago, with .38 Special) and I've enjoyed their last couple of studio offerings, especially NEVERLAND. The two acoustic remakes (Don't Tell You Love Me, Sister Christian) are pretty good, but it's time to quit living in the past, guys, and deliver up some new classics. If they release anymore albums, I'll definitely check them out and hope for better material, but I doubt I'll listen to Hole In The Sun very much.
