I just joined the whole Nightwish "masquarade" a few months ago by buying Oceanborn and Wishmaster. Let me tell you what, I think this album(Century Child) is well on it's way to being it's best ever. By the way, I hear everyone talking about how horrible the male vocalist is and how he takes away from Tarja. But he is really not that horrible. He might need a few vocal lessons for sure but he in no way retracts from the AWESOMENESS of this album! I believe definitly the best song on here is either Dead to the world or Bless the Child. There is no doubt this is Nightwish's face, by it's lyrics and it's darker content. Tuomas Holopainen, the composer himself as well as Tary Turunen have often idicated indirectly it is the most personal album released. The melodic yet sometimes unharmonious music makes for their best yet. The arrival of new basist Marco Hietela truly makes in difference. I think they have atteined a peak at this album, which they could not keep in Once.
From the dark "End of All Hope" to the deeply personal Oceansoul and the Epic Beauty of the piece, the portrait of Nightwish, this CD offers a musical fresque not easily negliged.

Nightwish Are Amazing And Their Also One Of My Favorite Bands.
It's Not Just Their Best Album But It's Also One Of My All-Time Favorite CDs.
First 5 Songs Are The Best Off CD. Dead To The World Is My Least Favorite Song And It's Still Amazing.
Either Ever Dream Or End Of All Hope Is My Favorite Track Off This CD.
Oceanborn & Wishmaster Are Both Amazing But This Is A Lot Better.
Tarja's Voice Get Better On This CD.
This Was The First Album With Marco And Some People Didn' Like Him Singing In The Band But I Really Like How Tarja & Marco Both Do Vocals.

beauty of the beast is the best song ever. this album is very deep, very strange, and very genius. you won't be dissappointed. this album is beautiful, there is nothing wrong with it. nightwish improves with every album and make minor tweaks, never changing. i love nightwish since the day i found out about them and this album reminds me why. tarja is incredible, tuomas is crazy insane on this album. the production is beautiful. BEAUTIFUL, THAT IS ALL THAT NEEDS TO BE SAID ABOUT THIS ALBUM. why am i even talking to you? BUY THIS ALBUM NOW!!!!Free Music Review: Stunning

Let me start by saying that I am not your typical GOTH fan. I am a 49 year old male, not the typical 17 year old female. Having said that, if you know who Queensryche and Charlotte Church are, this CD might just be for you. This CD is intricately arranged and very well done. The songs go from Heavy Metal to Opera while mixing in some songs that any pop diva would be happy to call her own. That is what makes this CD so facinating. The fact that the band is talented enough to pull this all off is what makes this CD a remarkable achievement.
