"Nightwish" has released some albums after "Century Child", but however non of them can compare to Century Child. Many say "Wishmaster" is the best Nightwish album ever. -I say they for sure have not even heeard about Century Child!
"Feel For You" will take you away to a mysterious place and "Dead to the World" must be one of the most powerfull songs troughout history! The power of vocalist "Tarja Turunen"s voice is enormous!
If you buy Century Child you'll definitly will get the best of Symphonic Metal.

I own five Nightwish albums and love them all, but Century Child is not my favorite. It still is good enough to warrant a five star rating though. Wishmaster, Oceanborn, and Once are in the top 3 for me, then Century Child, then Angels Fall First. If you like the operatic metal style and Tarja Turunen's amazing voice, you really can't go wrong with this band. I would recommend you start with Wishmaster, Oceanborn, and Once, and if you still want more, then get the other two. I've read some reviews <kids's review> kid gives lame bands.
when I first heard "Nightwish",I was shocked. Esspecially i loved "the phantom the opera" mic opera and metal. Kid's mentioned some so called metal bands. Those guys are toothless. To understand bands like "Nightwish", "symphony X", "Dream theater" you have to listen them few times. It not like damn stupid "cannibal corpse". when you listen CC, you don't need to think. when you listen Dream theater, sympnony X that music forces your brain cells work...

I love this album and I absolutely love this band! This album is incredible, evey song on it is excellent. I had the privelage of seeing them live just last Saturday in Denver. They were unbelievable; definitly the best show I have ever seen. When Tarja took a break, The rest of the band played "Symphony of Destruction"! Marco did a great job of sounding like Dave Mustain. It just goes to prove that this band is one of the best on earth and that any power metal fan should buy every last one of their albums!Free Music Review: NIGHTWISH'S FINEST...

Perhaps the best to ever be released by Nightwish, Century Child is a perfect example of what most would call Doom Metal/Symphonic Metal. Tarja's beautiful, opera-inspired voice along with Emppu, Marco, Tuomas, and Jukka's hypnotic tunes really pretty much give reason to why Nightwish is the best Doom Metal/Gothic Metal/Symphonic Metal/Opera Metal to ever hit the scene. So if your looking for a true Doom Metal to listen to and a great album, Nightwish's Century Child would definetly be a Top 5 choice. ^_^
